Pressure treated or dip treated — what's the real difference? 🪵
This one question can save you a lot of money and hassle over the life of your building.

Dip treated timber — timber briefly immersed in treatment. Surface protection only. Will need retreating every 1–2 years to maintain warranty and prevent rot.

Pressure treated timber — treatment forced deep into the timber fibres under pressure. Protection that lasts 10–15 years. Typically carries a longer manufacturer guarantee against rot and wood eating insects.

The upfront price difference is often less than people expect — but the long-term difference in maintenance time and cost is significant.

Our advice? Go pressure treated wherever your budget allows.

Eight sides of beautiful ✨
There's something genuinely special about an octagonal summerhouse. It's a garden building that becomes a focal point, a statement, a destination — not just a structure.

Almost all-round glazing brings light in from every angle. The shape works in the centre of a garden or as a stunning corner feature. Inside, the space feels much larger than the footprint suggests.

One of those buildings that makes people stop and ask where you got it. 🌿

Your bikes deserve better than the hallway 🚲
Bikes leaning against the kitchen wall. Helmets on the stairs. It doesn't have to be like this.

Our dedicated bicycle storage range from Asgard and Trimetals gives your bikes a proper home — secure, weather-proof, and out of the way. Heavy-duty steel construction, quality locks, and sized to fit everything from road bikes to cargo bikes.

Far more secure than a wooden shed and specifically designed with bikes in mind. Your insurance company will probably approve too. 🔐

Summer is the best time to treat your timber building 🪵
If you've got a wooden shed, summerhouse or log cabin, mid-summer is actually the ideal time to treat it. The timber is dry, the weather is settled, and a treatment applied now will cure properly before autumn arrives.

What to do:
🧹 Give it a thorough clean first — remove algae, dirt and old flaking treatment
🌡️ Wait for a dry spell of 2–3 days minimum
🖌️ Apply a quality wood treatment or stain — two coats for best protection
🔍 Check door and window seals, hinges and roof felt while you're at it

A well-maintained timber building will last decades longer than a neglected one. Questions about treatment? Ask us. 🌿

Got an awkward corner? We've got a building for it 📐
Corner sheds, corner summerhouses and corner log cabins are one of the smartest ways to make the most of a garden — especially if you have a compact outdoor space or an underused corner that's doing nothing.

Our corner building range includes sheds, summerhouses and full log cabins — all designed to tuck neatly into a 90° corner while maximising internal floor space.

It's one of those product categories that people don't know exists until they see it — and then they wonder why they didn't look sooner. 🏡

Not all sheds are built equal — meet our Heavy Duty range 💪
If you're planning to use your shed as a workshop, store power tools, or just want something that'll last 20+ years without much fuss, a standard shed isn't the answer. Our Heavy Duty Shed range is built with significantly thicker cladding, stronger framing and more robust fittings throughout.

The difference is immediately noticeable when you open the door — the weight, the solidity, the way it feels.

Available in apex and pent roof styles, multiple sizes. Worth the extra investment. 🔨

Apex or pent roof? Here's how to choose 🏠
One of the most common questions we get — and it's worth getting right before you buy.

Apex roof (the classic triangular ridge)
✅ Better rainwater run-off
✅ More headroom in the centre
✅ Traditional look suits most gardens
✅ Generally the stronger structure

Pent roof (single slope, flat-ish)
✅ Better against a wall or fence
✅ Contemporary, clean aesthetic
✅ Easier to add guttering to
✅ Good for lower-height restrictions

Still not sure? Drop us a message — we can help you choose based on your garden and how you plan to use it.
