A few years ago I made some of these little multimedia hoop arts - I am going to make more this year - but fun fact about these, they’re inspired by The Worst Witch (1998 series). First years at Cackles Academy wear a purple sash belt - so the background fabric HAD to be that colour.
I’ve really been enjoying Cackle's After Dark - Worst Witch Nostalgia Podcast and starting my annual rewatch of The Worst Witch ahead of P***y Night (IT WAS HALLOWEEN MISS DRILL, THERE WERE PLENTY OF WITCHES ABOUT). 🎃🎃🎃 cozy crafts and cozy shows are one of my favourite ways to get into the spooky autumnal mood! 🖤 onwards ever striving onwards!

People are gonna tell you that you’re not a real artist because you don’t have a degree in art or design, or they try to make you feel bad for using certain mediums or make you feel bad for the way your art output doesn’t feel like part of the same brand or every piece is a different style or whatever.
Let them. Make the art, however you wanna make the art, anyway.
I struggle all the time to call myself an artist for all of the above reasons but I am going to try and be more confident in standing confidently in my own creativity. 👁️👄👁️🌈👒🦩🦚

Creativity is messy, it’s chaotic. It’s imperfect and it is first and foremost for YOU. Real Art is deeply individual and free and allows the artist the ability to release whatever is felt inside. It might not openly express what it means in its totality to the observer, but to the artist, the meaning behind the art is infinite.

The most meaningful thing I have found that I can put myself into to make people aware I have been present and able in life is textile art. The unfolding of this in its process and creation is just as, if not more important, than the finished product. Handmade Art is forever. I wanna make something for the people who appreciate something tactile and perceivable without a screen being present.
