10 years of Bracken & Twine Flowers!

A little reintroduction and a moment to reflect on a whole decade of flowers!

Hello, I’m Katy, the face, hands and heart behind Bracken & Twine Flowers, a Norfolk-based floral studio specialising in romantic, naturalistic and seasonal wedding flowers.

My love for flowers began in childhood and with over 20 years in floristry, they’ve always been so much more than just a job to me.

Those who know me will know that self confidence hasn’t always come naturally. But my passion for flowers has given me the courage to step outside my comfort zone, believe in my creativity and build a business I’m incredibly proud of.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of flowering hundreds of beautiful weddings, working alongside wonderfully talented creatives and bringing so many couples’ visions to life.

My style has evolved, but my love for seasonal beauty, abundant textures, romantic colour palettes and flowers that feel a little wild and garden gathered remains stronger than ever.

As I look towards the next chapter, I’m excited to keep growing creatively, embracing new opportunities and doing what I love most.

To everyone who has supported, encouraged or trusted me over these past 10 years, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Here’s to the next decade of flowers!

Embracing the richness of the season πŸ‚

A celebration of autumn’s most beautiful hues. Warm terracotta, burnt orange, dusky rose, rich burgundy and soft buttery creams, all woven together with delicate textures, sculptural branches and an abundance of seasonal berries.

I adore this time of year for flowers. The colours become deeper, the textures more interesting and there’s a wonderful sense of wildness and movement that lends itself so beautifully to naturalistic floral design.

These abundant, garden-inspired arrangements capture everything I love about autumn, romantic, a little untamed and full of seasonal character.

Autumn, but make it romantic πŸ‚

A gorgeous mix of dusky mauves, soft blush, warm caramel and rich plum, with little pops of orange rosehips bringing everything to life.

I absolutely adore working with these deeper, moodier tones at this time of year. There’s something so lovely about combining all those rich autumnal colours with delicate, romantic flowers, creating bouquets that feel a little wild, wonderfully textured and full of movement.

A little autumnal magic in flower form. 🀎

Bracken & Twine is my little floral design studio here in Norfolk, creating wildly romantic, garden-led flowers for weddings across Norfolk & Suffolk.

I love flowers that feel as though they’ve grown into their surroundings - full of movement, beautiful seasonal ingredients, interesting colour and all those little details that make you want to look a bit closer.

For full styling weddings, I take on just one wedding per week. It means that for that week, your wedding really does become my world (and usually takes over every inch of the studio too!). From bouquets and buttonholes to flower-filled tables and abundant ceremony installations, I love bringing everything together so it feels considered, cohesive and completely you.

I have some availability remaining for 2027 and my 2028 books will be opening in the New Year.

So if you’re planning a Norfolk or Suffolk wedding and like your flowers seasonal, a little wild and full of personality, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.

Head to my website and fill in the wedding enquiry form to tell me all about it. I’d love to hear from you.

A study in colour, shape and movement.

For this bridal bouquet, rich red was softened with powdery pinks and delicate blues details, creating a palette that felt striking yet beautifully refined.

The design itself was loose and garden-led, but very considered with sculptural stems, delicate movement and carefully placed moments of colour giving each flower its own space.

A bridal bouquet for a wonderfully design-led coastal wedding, where every detail felt thoughtful, individual and effortlessly sophisticated.

Coastal but make it colour intense.

A design-led tablescape where powder blue meets vivid reds, tomatoes and unexpected little details. Bold garden flowers, playful shapes and layers of colour creating something that feels completely individual.
For a wedding by the coast that didn’t need to whisper.

Colourful. Considered. A little unexpected. Entirely their own.

I think my love of colour grouping started long before I became a florist…

As a child, I was the one who had to arrange all my colouring pencils into perfect colour order before I could actually start colouring. And apparently, some things never change!

Now I find myself doing exactly the same thing with flowers. I can’t help but let colours gather together within a design, soft lilacs melting into blues, pinks sitting happily together, then peaches, buttery yellows and creams having their own little moment.

There’s something about grouping tones rather than evenly mixing them that makes a design feel so much more natural and interesting to me, almost like little pockets of colour appearing in a garden.

Turns out all that pencil organising was just early floristry training after all.

Plinth flowers of my floristry dreams! ✨

I absolutely adored filling this old stone pot, which has been perfectly weathering away in my garden for years, with the most beautiful muted kaleidoscope of late summer colour.

A wonderfully wild, abundant gathering of seasonal flowers that looked every bit as beautiful in the church before being relocated and reimagined at The Old Stables at Shotesham Park

She was a stunner!
