Thank you to everyone one of you that has booked a workshop so far this autumn, it genuinely makes my heart jump for joy!

Being a small one woman business means that I work alone a lot of the time and so my workshops are my happy place, surrounded by a table of creative mess and you wonderful humans out there.

People who come for the first time to try their hand at making paper flowers and others who have become true friends, made around my table surrounded by sticky bits of paper, paper flower parts and of course tea and brownies!

If you have never tried making paper flowers before I recommend it! Not just for the flowers but for the feeling it gives you inside. I believe there is a fundamental difference between simply being in nature and truly connecting to it. By slowing down and looking closely at flowers, their structure, colour, texture and extraordinary detail, you begin to see the natural world differently. And if you leave a workshop and stop to look inquisitively into a flower growing somewhere on your way back home…then I have achieved my goal!

Two places have become available on my previously sold out wild rose series. The details are below. Please let me know if you'd like to take one of the places. £120 for all 4 sessions, includes all materials and refreshments.

Wednesday evenings, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th of October starting at 6pm and finishing around 9pm. Keswick NR4

A deep dive workshop series looking closely at a wild rose. I will show you how to use a real flower to teach you its secrets and re-create it in life like detail

Week 1: Look closely and learn: Dissect the flower and leaves piece by piece, make notes and use the plant make accurate templates

Week 2: Form and texture. Using only white crepe we will focus on how the shaping and texture of crepe can be used to convey the age, texture and shape of a wild rose and its leaves.

Week 3: Colour: This week will be about dyeing crepe to find the perfect colour match of your flowers and leaves.

Week 4: Growing your roses: Bringing all elements of this series together we will build our final flowers using our coloured crepe and finishing touches to create that touch of realism.
