Thrilled to be able to show you a first look at my new lampshade collection.

Each one handcrafted on custom made frames designed to bring an edge to a more traditional lampshade form.

With structured pleats there are 3 frame shapes to choose from which can adorn wall sconces, table lamps and can also be hung as pendant lighting.

The first of the shade designs will drop soon in a variety of prints and I can't wait to show you more 💫

Why is black & white so much more flattering😉

I have been busy behind the scenes lately finishing of the custom made lamps I showed previously and also working on my new lampshades.

I was lucky enough to purchase some iconic Blackpop wallpaper so this will be the focus of the first limited editions. There will also be some co-ordinating super glossy spheres to show them off!

Really excited to get started so stick around if you are too. There could be more news coming soon too.....

A couple of bespoke lamps I have had the pleasure of making recently.

These are 2 of 4 lamps all hand painted in milky white with a lacquer finish and topped with a hand rolled grasscloth lampshade.

Their bold sleek design makes each one a statement piece for your interior design schemes.

PAINT✨

If you're a regular around here, you'll know I'm a big fan of paints. Great quality, amazing coverage, and a finish that's hard to beat.

But don't let that fool you - it's not all smooth sailing, especially with light colours on bare wood.
There's a huge amount of sanding between coats to get my wood bases lacquer-ready.

Two coats down, probably two or three to go... because once that lacquer is on, it's game over!

A work in progress✨

Growing pains! As a small business, I've realized I need to make some changes to keep pushing forward. From today, I'm no longer taking on lamp shade repair or rework commissions.

If I'm honest, repairs can be more time-consuming than creating something new, and often don't make financial sense. I know it's not the most environmentally friendly option, but I'm trying to prioritize my time and energy.

Moving forward, I'll be focusing on my own range of lamps and a brand-new range of lampshades. These will be available ready-made or custom-made to fit your style. I'll still offer bespoke services for those who want one-of-a-kind pieces.

The bespoke collection journey is underway.

Working with interior designers to create a collection is very satisfying, but attention to detail is crucial.
Making sure woodturners have precise instructions on size proportions, cable entry points, and bulb holder attachments is vital.
Any oversight can lead to expensive mistakes!

This collection will feature 5 distinct lamps, both wired and rechargeable, accompanied by custom lampshades.
