Today is our 12 Year Anniversay (not an April Fool's Joke honest!!!)

It's been difficult to offer customers an online shop due to the uniqueness of handmade gifts but with the cooperation of makers such as David Humphreys Glass, Sharp Turning,, Norman Art, Christina Ann Williams and several other local artists we can now offer a range of the quality handmade gifts, that we are renown for, that you can order form the comfort of your own home.

We have nearly 50 products currently on offer with new makers and new makes expected to be added in the next few weeks.

That's Right!!!

Visitors to our shop at Strelley Hall sometimes ask "Do you sell online?" and due to the uniqueness of most of the items I have to reply 'No' but I am happy to say that from 1st April 2026 (no its not an April Fool Joke), a whole 12 years since opening the business, we will be able to offer online sales of a select range of gifts from makers currently in the shop.

The initial selection is likely to be limited but as the weeks go by we would hope to expand the range to offer a truly representative selection of what is in the shop.

We are always looking for new and exciting makers in the region that we can help to promote and sell and Wyllvan Woolens tick every single box for us

This mother and daughter team, based in the East Midlands, have a passion for wool! Having spent years making their own clothes and designing knitwear, they finally took the plunge and set up their own small business, doing something that they really love and get a lot of enjoyment from and you can certainly see that in their work

Every single step of the design and making process is done by these two talents, using hand-powered domestic vintage knitting machines and by hand. By doing things thisway they retain that hand-crafted quality which makes a small business so special.

These are beautifully produced, high quality woollen products for you and your home, which are timeless, long lasting and can be passed down from generation to generation. The environmental impact is hugely important, which is why they only use 100% natural yarn, sourced from mills and spinners based in Yorkshire, Scotland and Ireland.

We really hope you love their products as much as we do! If you’d like to see more, please pop into the shop to see and feel these high quality woollens in the flesh!

So...... the problem with having a popular class that regularly fills up is that you need to book really early........... and then of course you forget that you have made your booking. !!!
