Just wanted to say Thank you to everyone that has helped me reach over 400 followers, I know it isn’t a huge number but I’m really honoured people have chosen to follow my page. I’m hoping to be more active on here and hopefully maybe get to 500 one day 😁 . So thanks again, I appreciate it, it does encourage me to keep doing what I love ❤️

It's Monday, so time for a new project. Brought this beautiful book by Trish Burr a while ago and haven't gotten round to using any of the patterns. I have a linen kaftan I'm taking on holiday, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to embroider on it. I'm stitching a gorgeous hibiscus flower. Can't wait to get started 😊

Thought I would show you what side embroidery project I’m doing atm. The art group I attend is exhibiting at a local museum and the theme is Mining. (Notts has a long history with coal mining)My contribution is a mixed media embroidery/acrylic painting. So I’m doing an embroidered canary with a painting of a bird cage. And will attach it on the painting .

So I’ve finally finished the kitty, wasn’t sure if I was going to carry on with him. Even though I’m not completely happy with it I’m glad I did and have learnt a lot. My next watercolour project is a Dalmatian, yes another tricky one lol.

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday, the sun is out today in Notts, and I even turned the heating off for a bit, crazy I know! So on Saturday I made some bookmarks while at an art group I attend, practicing watercolour flowers using a beautiful floral tutorial book I was gifted by , I then laminated them to protect them. I think they came out quite lovely, what do you think?

Been a busy few weeks, with Xmas and moving all my crafty/painting things into my little cabin, was originally my husbands, for him to keep all his paint and art work in but unfortunately (or not!☺️) I’ve acquired a bit more than him so he’s been kicked out and it’s my turn to have my own little space 😍.( he doesn’t mind). Will be giving it a new lick of paint and making it look pretty in the next few months. Also back to doing a bit of embroidery, little lavender hearts for my folksy shop.

So, I decided to paint a tabby cat, but I'm starting to wish I started on something a bit easier, I embroidered this cutie a couple of years ago and struggled, so what made me think painting him would be any different 🙉😂. So I can't decide to continue or to scrap him and start again 🤷‍♂️

My contribution to the . I branched out a bit more this year, as well as embroidery I tried card making, machine sewing and watercolour painting, loved doing them all, and in 2025 I plan to put them all together and hopefully make some lovely creations ❤️.
