For this card, I've paired the Tangram design with the beautiful Vintage Elegance ScrapBoys papers, adding layers, a little sparkle and one of the heartfelt Piece by Piece sentiments. The soft florals and geometric shapes work so beautifully together, creating a design that's elegant but still wonderfully easy to put together.

Do you enjoy mixing patterned papers with your dies, or do you prefer to keep your designs clean and simple?

I couldn't resist giving the Filigree Tangram Die a festive makeover!

This slimline card shows just how versatile the die really is. By adding a sparkling glitter background, layered poinsettias and foliage, it transforms into a beautiful Christmas design.

I love creating products that can be used all year round, and seeing the Tangram Collection work so beautifully for Christmas makes me smile every time.

Would you use this die just for everyday cards, or would you be tempted to create festive designs like this too?

The Filigree Tangram Die creates such a beautiful decorative frame, while the gorgeous florals, butterfly and tags from the Vintage Elegance Scrap Boys Paper Pad add softness and elegance. Sometimes it's lovely to let the papers do the hard work – they really make the whole design come to life.

I finished it with a simple birthday greeting, but this layout could easily be adapted for so many different occasions.

When you're crafting, do you like to fussy cut elements from your patterned papers, or do you prefer to use them just as backgrounds?

For this card, I kept the layout nice and simple, allowing the background to do the talking. I added one panel stamped with Woodblock Impressions, then finished it with one of the sentiments from my Piece by Piece stamp set. Sometimes just a single stamped element is all you need to bring a design together.

It's a style that's easy to recreate, but every change in colour or background gives it a completely different personality.

When you're making a card, do you prefer a clean and simple design, or do you like adding lots of layers and texture?

The floral papers create such a soft, elegant backdrop, while the Tangram Die adds a modern twist with its geometric design. I finished the card with one of the lovely sentiments from my Piece by Piece stamp set, which ties everything together beautifully.

I love creating cards that look detailed but are so simple to put together. It's amazing how a few layers, gorgeous papers and a meaningful sentiment can make such a special card.

Do you like to let your patterned papers take centre stage, or do you prefer to add lots of extra embellishments?

For this card, I used the Woodblock Impressions stamp to create a patchwork of patterned panels, keeping everything in soft neutral tones. A touch of copper mirror card around the edge adds just the right amount of shine without taking away from the beautiful stamped designs.

It's one of those cards that's simple to make but looks so effective, and you can easily change the colours to suit any occasion.

Do you enjoy creating with neutral colour palettes, or do you prefer to reach for brighter shades?

The Filigree Tangram Die isn't just for geometric designs – it also works beautifully as a decorative corner feature. Paired with the gorgeous vintage floral papers, it creates such an elegant look that's perfect for anniversary cards and other special occasions.

I love how changing the orientation of the die gives it a completely different feel. It's one of those products that keeps surprising me every time I use it!

Do you tend to use your dies in the way they were designed, or do you enjoy finding completely new ways to use them?

What a lovely day at HobbyMaker yesterday

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me for the shows and watched me showcasing Sue Wilson’s NEW Autumn Collection. I hope you enjoyed seeing the dies in action and all the different ways the woodland characters and seasonal elements can work together.

I’m sharing another of Sue’s beautiful cards today for a little more autumn inspiration — her samples really do show off this collection beautifully.

I’ve also been busy creating with the collection myself, and I’ll be sharing some of my own cards over the next couple of days, so there’s plenty more inspiration still to come!

Did you manage to catch the shows yesterday?
