I’m not quite sure where to start but I think ‘thank you’ is a short summary. These last 5 years have been the hardest of my life, opening a physical store and running it my myself has been literally the hardest thing I’ve ever done, ontop of that, learning to building a on online store, doing wholesale, events, marketing, tax and everything else being a business owner throws at you and managing my personal life, it’s been such a challenge and I’ve learnt SO many lessons along the way but one thing that’s made all this so worthwhile is the Bloom & Brew community we have built together.
I have been absolutely blown away today and for the last 6 months since I announced we weren’t renewing our shop lease; with the amount of love & support and the endless stories of how Bloom & Brew has been a part of your life.
I have received so many thoughtful cards from customers today and over the last few weeks and It makes me feel so proud to hear how the space we built had such a significant impact on people. The reoccurring words such as ‘safe space’ and ‘a haven’ ‘a piece of home’ ‘our favourite place’ and so many beautiful stories about memories they’ve had in the shop and all our chats together. It’s been a pleasure being there for you on your occasions to celebrate, chatting over the counter with a birthday coffee, celebrating passing uni exams, introducing me to your new partner or family, bringing your friends for a trip to visit us, seeing your babies grow up, or coming in during times of stress and worry and us putting the world to rights or being there for a hug and a brew when you’d had bad news and being there for eachother. There’s an endless amount of these memories and stories over the years with you all that I will genuinely cherish forever. From the bottom of my heart I want to express my gratitude for supporting Bloom & Brew whether you’ve been here since 2021 or since a few months ago.
Our last day today has been a rollercoaster of laughs, hugs, tears and last visits but the memories we made here will stay long after the shop goes 🧡
