1962 Vintage Fairykins by Marx Oversize Fairy Tale Book With Original Figures

Very good condition with all figures present and undamaged.

Odd mark and tear from storage and a slight and minor misshape on one corner but nothing of any real detriment.

Overall a nice bright example

VINTAGE Brass Tea Kettle Pot With Baby Blue Porcelain Handle

Good size and very usable.

Has a few dents and marks commensurate with its age but nothing that takes away from it functionality or from its decorative charm and appeal.

ORIGINAL CURRENT ISSUE US ARMY 1ST BATTALION RANGERS BERET AND BADGE WITH ENAMEL CREST SIZE 7 3/8

These berets come without a lining from new.

The beret is in excellent condition but has been issued and therefore shaped and shrunken etc to the soldiers own specification.

It has also been tailored and stitched to add additional shape across the top. Please see pics.

This is a rare and collectable beret issued to a soldier of the 1st Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment based at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Georgia so it’s also a long way from home.

It is a very wearable or clean display piece.

Reproduction M1862 Pattern Cavalry Sword

Good quality Hand Forged American Civil War Cavalry Officer's Sword replica with steel scabbard. Dimensions: 104CM

The Famous Model 1860 Light Cavalry Sabre also had the name of M1862 taken from when the initial 800 were issued saw service with the US cavalry during the American Civil War. It remained in service up to the end of the Indian wars.

Indeed examples remained in service through the Spanish–American War. Its length was 41 inches including a 35 inch x 1inch blade. It had a weight of 2 lb 4oz. The iron scabbard weighed 3 lb 10oz.

This cavalry sabre got its name so it could be differentiated from the larger & weightier Model 1840 Heavy Cavalry Sabre that it followed. In common with the sabre it replaced it featured a guard fashioned from brass, the grip was wrapped in leather & the scabbard was made of steel but unlike the sabre it replaced it wasn’t as large & so was easier to fight with.

In excess of 300,000 1860 sabres had been made up until the end of the American Civil War
In common with European officers the American officers often had the swords decorated with gilding & foliage. The most well known of these officers included George Armstrong Custer and J.E.B. Stuart.

As the civil war progressed the cavalry replaced their swords with an additional hand gun finding them more useful for the skirmishes in which they were increasingly engaged.

This sword was often used in the movies after the film studios found they could purchase relatively cheap surplus Civil War hardware giving the sabres a second life.

The Sabre is now being used by certain U.S. Army Cavalry units in Colour Guards, & are used as parting gifts.
