Tuscan Pots: An Inspiring New Chapter
For twenty-six years, the name Tuscan Pots has represented our family's deep commitment to the incredible story of historic Impruneta terracotta. We’ve been quiet on this page recently, but only because we’ve been working diligently to build the meaningful next step for our business.
The spark for this next chapter, and indeed much of our original philosophy, came from my mother. Her genuine passion for history, art, and the intricate achievements of human hands was something she shared with us throughout her life. Five years ago this month, we lost her, and it feels entirely appropriate to launch this new endeavour now, expanding on the interests and values she instilled in our family business.
We have grown beyond exclusively 'pots.' Our purpose now is to carefully archive and champion a broader spectrum of exceptional human legacies reflected in historic objects and artisan skill – not just terracotta, but also rare scagliola fine art and historic maiolica.
So, we are excited to announce a significant evolution. Tuscan Pots is becoming House of Moy – an exclusive gallery based in Oxford.
The wall pictured here belongs to our Oxford gallery. Built as a butcher's shop in 1902, the space has seen many owners over the last century, but the original ceramic tiles remain. They sit alongside a painting of the universe my father completed for a commission years ago. We value spaces, like objects, that carry real history.
If you share our profound respect for material heritage and the enduring legacy of human craftsmanship, we would be honoured to welcome you to House of Moy. This page will no longer host new updates, but our story continues with renewed inspiration.
