A refined finish. Slim sightlines. Modern performance. 🖤

When choosing windows and doors for your home, the material matters just as much as the design.

For this recent Woodcraft Windows installation, elegant black aluminium windows and a glazed door bring a crisp, contemporary finish to a traditional stone property. The clean lines and defined glazing bars create a striking contrast against the natural stonework, proving that modern design can sit beautifully within a characterful home.

And there’s a thoughtful little detail for the four-legged member of the family, too! 🐈 A discreetly integrated cat flap makes everyday life more convenient, showing how a bespoke installation can be tailored around the way you really live.

✨ Why choose aluminium windows and doors?

▪️ Slim, elegant frames – maximise the glazed area and create a clean, architectural look.

▪️ Strength and durability – aluminium is strong and dimensionally stable, making it ideal for sleek designs without unnecessarily bulky frames.

▪️ Low maintenance – durable powder-coated finishes are easy to care for and don’t require the regular repainting associated with traditional timber finishes.

▪️ Modern thermal performance – quality aluminium systems with thermal breaks and suitable glazing can help improve energy efficiency and everyday comfort.

▪️ A finish tailored to your home – from understated neutrals to bold black, colour and design choices can make a real statement.

For homeowners investing in a renovation or upgrading their property, aluminium offers a compelling combination of contemporary style, practicality and long-term durability — with bespoke details to suit individual needs.

At Woodcraft Windows, we understand that every property is different. Whether your vision calls for the warmth and tradition of timber or the crisp, modern appeal of aluminium, the right choice should complement your architecture and the way you live.

Good design is in the details. The right materials make it last.

A beautiful frame for the view you love. ✨

Some homes have features you simply don’t want to hide — beautiful stone walls, exposed timber beams and a garden that deserves to be part of the living space.

For this recent Woodcraft Windows installation, bespoke timber French doors with full-height glazed side panels transform the connection between indoors and out, creating a striking architectural feature while allowing natural light to flow into the room.

The soft, understated exterior finish sits beautifully against the natural stonework, while the rich timber tones inside complement the exposed beams and warm flooring. The result feels considered, elegant and completely in keeping with the character of the property.

🏡 Bringing an 1800s home back to its original charm | Wantage, Oxfordshire

Sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest difference. ✨

When Gilly and her family moved into this beautiful historic home, they knew they wanted to bring back some of its original character. Over the years, the property had undergone several modern alterations, and the existing timber windows had unfortunately lost the charm and proportions that suited the house.

The frames were rotten, the windows were incredibly draughty, and their heavy profiles were blocking valuable natural light.

The solution? Four bespoke, handcrafted timber sash windows from Woodcraft Windows. 🤍

Designed to complement the property’s historic architecture, the new windows feature traditional 60mm sash horns, decorative timber glazing bars and a beautiful Farrow & Ball Old White No. 4 finish, paired with elegant bronze ironmongery.

But this transformation is about more than just appearances. With modern Low-E double glazing, argon gas-filled units and Q-Lon weather seals, the new windows bring improved thermal performance and draught protection while allowing significantly more natural light into the home.

And the best part? Gilly was so delighted with the craftsmanship, attention to detail and finished result that she has already chosen Woodcraft Windows for her next project! 🙌

✨ Why choose Woodcraft Windows for your home?

✔️ Bespoke timber windows and doors, handcrafted to suit your property
✔️ Traditional designs that respect the character of period and heritage homes
✔️ Modern glazing and performance without compromising on style
✔️ Expert craftsmanship and attention to detail
✔️ Made-to-measure solutions tailored to your home and vision

Whether you’re restoring a period property, renovating your forever home or looking for beautifully crafted timber windows and doors, we can help you find the right solution.

Your home has a story. Let’s help you preserve it for generations to come.🏡

A front door should do more than welcome you home — it should honour the history of your home.🖤

For this beautiful period property, we installed a bespoke timber entrance door designed to complement the character and architectural details of the original stonework.

The deep, elegant finish, traditional raised panels and classic brass ironmongery create a timeless look, while the real showstopper is the specially crafted etched glass.

The customer wanted the glazing to complement a particular window design, so the glass was carefully selected and made to achieve the look they had envisioned. The decorative detailing brings together the door and the home's existing character, creating a finish that feels as though it has always belonged there.

At Woodcraft Windows, we believe the finest results come from understanding the property, listening to the homeowner and paying attention to every detail.

✨ Why choose Woodcraft Windows?

The colour catches your eye. The craftsmanship makes you look twice. 💙

A sash window doesn’t have to be white.

For this recent Woodcraft Windows project, the homeowners chose a beautiful vibrant blue finish, giving these traditional timber sash windows a fresh, distinctive character while still respecting the architecture of the home.

And that’s the beauty of choosing bespoke timber.

The proportions, glazing, profiles, opening configuration and colour can all be carefully considered to create windows that feel genuinely made for the property — rather than something simply selected from a catalogue.

Behind the traditional appearance, modern glazing and carefully engineered construction provide the comfort and performance expected from a contemporary home.

Why homeowners choose Woodcraft Windows:

• Fully bespoke timber windows made to your property
• Traditional craftsmanship with meticulous attention to detail
• Period-appropriate designs that complement character homes

A timeless entrance, made bespoke 🏡

There’s something effortlessly elegant about a traditional timber double entrance door — especially when it is designed to complement the architecture rather than simply replace what was there before.

For this recent Woodcraft Windows installation, the double doors, glazing pattern and proportions were carefully crafted to suit the character of this beautiful stone-built home. The soft neutral finish keeps the entrance understated, while the traditional detailing adds a sense of permanence and quality.

Timber is particularly well suited to character properties because it allows far greater freedom over size, proportions, glazing, mouldings, colours and hardware — creating a door that feels genuinely part of the building.

Why choose Woodcraft Windows?

• Bespoke by design – every window and door is made to suit your property and your requirements.
• Made for period & character homes – designs that respect the original architecture.
• Modern performance – beautiful traditional aesthetics without compromising on comfort and efficiency.
• Exceptional choice – from sash and casement windows to entrance, French, stable and bifold doors.
• Bespoke colours & finishes – create the exact look you want for your home.
• Quality materials – carefully selected timber designed for longevity.
• 30-year timber warranty – confidence that your investment is built to last.
• A 4.9★ Google rating – trusted by homeowners looking for quality and craftsmanship.

Not simply a door. A considered piece of craftsmanship, made specifically for your home.

Bringing timeless character into a much-loved home 🏡

There’s something beautifully understated about traditional casement windows. They can completely transform a property without taking away from the character that made you fall in love with it in the first place.

This recent Woodcraft Windows project features bespoke timber casement windows, carefully designed to suit the proportions and period details of the existing property.

From the exterior, the traditional glazing bars sit naturally against the warm brickwork and tiled roof. Inside, the larger glazed areas bring in plenty of natural light while maintaining that classic look. ✨

And this is where bespoke really matters. Rather than adapting a standard window to fit, every detail can be considered — from the dimensions and glazing pattern to the opening style, hardware and finish.

A beautiful example of what bespoke timber can do 🌿

This recent Woodcraft Windows installation is a great reminder that timber windows and doors don’t have to be ordinary.

The striking green finish brings this characterful property to life, while the carefully designed glazing and traditional proportions sit beautifully within the surrounding brick and flint architecture.

From the large glazed entrance with its multiple opening sections, to the matching French doors and surrounding windows, every element has been made to work with the building rather than against it.

And that’s the beauty of going bespoke. 🪵

At Woodcraft Windows, we can tailor the style, proportions, glazing, colour, hardware and opening configuration to suit your property — whether you're restoring a period home, updating a country house or creating something completely unique.
