These photos landed in my inbox and I absolutely love how this room has turned out.
What many people don’t realise is that my role often extends beyond supplying the window treatments. With this project, we discussed everything from paint colours and panelling to artwork and styling, helping to create a scheme that felt cohesive and calm.
The starting point for the design was this beautiful inherited bed, complete with its stunning fabric headboard. It was such a special piece that we wanted it to remain the star of the room, so every decision that followed was made with that in mind.
When selecting fabrics for the Roman blind, we deliberately chose something understated that would complement the bed rather than compete with it. Her husband then created the beautiful panelling, she chose the same paint colour that I have in my own home, and together we selected artwork that completed the scheme.
The Roman blind is obviously a key feature, but it’s the combination of all the elements working together that makes the room feel so successful.
I always say that a beautiful room is rarely about one thing. It’s about making lots of thoughtful decisions that all support each other.
It’s been such a pleasure watching this room come to life, and I’m incredibly grateful that my client trusted me to help shape the vision.
