So I thought we’d do a little comparison.

Thinking about reducing plastic but not sure where to start?

One of the easiest swaps is often herbs and spices. Many people already have glass spice jars at home, and if you don’t fancy bringing them in, we can measure your refill into a paper spice bag for you.

Our frozen section is another great place to start. Buy only what you need, reduce waste, and make the most of limited freezer space. We stock a range of ready-to-bake pastries for lazy weekend breakfasts, frozen fruit for smoothies and crumbles, plus meal makers including potato gratin stacks, pizza dough, crab cakes and vegan burgers.

And remember—you don’t need to carry heavy containers around town! We have bags available for your food refills, and when it comes to cleaning and beauty refills, you’re always welcome to drop off your containers and collect them later once you’ve finished shopping.

A couple of things going on at Refillution today…

Tracey is outside doing demos of Kangen Water — fancy water with a very loyal fan club 😅 It’s filtered, ionised water that people use for drinking, cooking and generally trying to convince themselves they’re healthier than the rest of us. Come have a chat and see what all the fuss is about.

We’ve also got our £5 toastie deal running ALL day, plus fresh local strawberries with proper Cornish clotted cream because apparently we’re becoming classy now.

These bottles are all packed up and ready to be sent back to Miniml as part of their amazing reuse scheme

Every bottle here will be cleaned and reused again — helping reduce unnecessary single-use plastic waste

This means since opening we’ve helped save an amazing 575 plastic bottles from going to landfill*
