Project - Woodford Green. 🤍

A glimpse into the design process.

We’ve been working alongside our wonderful client, since December 2025 and last week we were reviewing timber samples for a bespoke element within the project.

It’s one of the parts of interior design that often goes unseen - the careful consideration behind every decision.

So we’re curious…

Which one would you have chosen? And which do you think we went for?

An angle of Project Kingham.

Mediterranean principles, reimagined for a British home.

Natural timber, soft finishes and uninterrupted sightlines create a kitchen that feels intrinsically connected to the landscape beyond. Designed to feel warm, organic and rooted in its surroundings.

Starting the week off with a dose of reality.

Instagram has a habit of showing the finished room. The perfectly styled spaces, carefully curated details and final photographs but what it doesn’t always show is this.

Every project starts with potential and things will always look worse before they look better. One of the things I love most about design is being able to look beyond what a space is today and imagine what it could become.

We’d love to share more of this side of the process too. The messy in-between, the dust, disruption and the countless decisions that shape the homes you eventually see on your screen. Because while the finished result is always worth celebrating, it’s the journey to get there that tells the real story.

Some people have personalities. I have a collection of very specific preferences.

If this list makes sense to you, we should probably be friends.

A couple of weeks ago, I was asked where my ideas and inspiration come from.

To be honest, it doesn’t come from one particular source. It comes from places I’ve been, places I’ve loved, and places I find myself returning to time and time again. For me, Provence is one of those places.

Although I love the simplicity and clean lines of modern Mediterranean interiors, sometimes it’s the older details that capture my attention most.

So, in honour of one of our greatest loves, here are a few photographs from one of our most recent trips. Provence, you have my heart. Always.

And if you fancy a nosy, I recently wrote about the five places that inspire my work most. You’ll find it over on Substack, linked in our bio.
