I’ve been lucky enough to be helping Lisa with some hand sewing as she will soon be launching her make your own Christmas fairy kits. I’ve been bursting with excitement for her to share these as they are such a perfect idea and have been a relaxing and absorbing way to spend a little me time.

I secretly named her Ivy whilst bringing her to life. I can’t wait to hang her on my tree. The kits will be available from lovely Lisa very soon and I promise you’re going to absolutely love making your very own fairy!

Embroidery and hand stitching ~ Another monogram on the back of the meadow flowers Little Calming Pillow. The floral motif reminds me so much of a friend that it is her initial that made its way onto this one. Embroidered in split stitch from the upper case and lower case monograms included in the pattern. This pattern includes both the meadow flowers and forget me or motifs, full instructions and video instructions are available on my IGTV.

Embroidery and hand sewing ~ the back of the Little Calming Pillows can be finished with a monogram. This was the forget me not pillow embroidered with the first letter of a lost loved one. Or it could be personalised and slipped into a pocket to remind the recipient of you and how loved they are. Add essential oils to suit the intention.

Knitting ~ both the garter stitch and stocking stitch instructions are included in the Knitted Wrist Warmers pattern, along with two floral embroidery motifs to be embroidered on with spare yarn or tapestry wool and a few other ideas for you to pretty them up. Video tutorials coming soon.

Hand embroidery and sewing ~ both the forget me not shown here and the meadow field motifs are included in the Little Calming Pillow pattern, along with upper care and lower case monograms for the backs of the palm sized pillows. Video instructions for the embroidery are now available on my IGTV.

Knitting - this pattern is so versatile. You can knit the wrist warmers in garter stitch (shown here) or stocking stitch and embellish them just how you fancy. The pattern includes two designs to add floral embroideries, using scrap yarn or tapestry wool. These can be knit with any yarn weight as you will work out your gauge based on the yarn and needles you choose.

Hand Embroidery and Sewing ~ these little calming pillows are little puffs of love. First you will embroider the sweet meadow field or forget me not pattern, then a little monogram and join both pieces together, filling the little pillow maybe with lavender and essential oils and finishing with an embroidered edging stitch. When made, these make wonderful gifts, especially if filling with calming scents, for someone who needs to find some moments of calm.

This digital download pattern includes both the Meadow Field and Forget me Not embroidery motifs and a full set of upper and lower case monogram letters all hand designed by me. It would be handy if you could print the pattern, but it’s not necessary as it can be traced from a screen.
