Seeing condensation on your windows this winter?

Before you panic, here is what actually helps and what people often miss.

1. Ventilation matters more than heat
Cracking a window for 10 minutes a day is more effective than blasting the heating all evening. Moist air needs somewhere to go.

2. Bathrooms spread moisture fast
Keep doors closed when showering and let extractor fans run after you are done. Steam travels quicker than you think.

3. Bedrooms are condensation hotspots
Cold glass, warm breath, closed curtains.
Keep airflow behind curtains and avoid turning the heating fully off overnight.

4. Kitchens create hidden moisture
Cooking releases litres of water into the air. Use extractors properly or open a window, even briefly.

5. Check the window itself
If condensation is between the panes, that is not a ventilation issue. It usually means the sealed unit has failed.
