I was reminded of this epic event today earlier this Summer.

It’s an incredible space, that holds a lot of people. So it’s big! Walk through with me as I talk about the importance of scale when decorating a big space. Height, volume, colour all gets very easily lost when you’re dealing with vast spaces.

7 days and 7 events. From wedding installs to a glamping village to 672 feet of florals for a gala dinner for 750 guests to some more wedding installs, finished with a brunch. That was quite a week, covering all the services I offer floristry, event design and planning.

The week my small team expanded to a big team, full of incredible suppliers, freelancers, friends and family. It was epic from start to finish. Thank you to each of you.

Event design isn’t as simple as putting flowers in the middle of the table. It’s about creating a whole world that sets the scene for how you want your guests to feel when they arrive. How the space looks is transformative to that feeling.

Here, we have considered how every element works together to bring the story to life. Tall impactful florals, soft billowing draping, organic stoneware plates, cut crystal mixed with gold rim glasses to add a modern edge, subtle patterned leaf print linen. The details really do matter to layer and build to create an end result, whatever that might mean for your story.

Carry on with the run up to the showcase on Sunday, I’m showing you so some of my favourite Lulworth set ups.

This one is really special and ticks all the boxes for scale, fullness, texture, florals and most of all it really leads the eye all towards the end of the aisle to where you get married! After all that’s what you’re here for, the whole point of the day. So it’s really important to frame that moment beautifully which will make the photos of that even more special.
