Hi, I was introduced to Lisa by a friend who had a fantastically designed kitchen by her, so I contacted Lisa to look at designing my lounge which I thought I had it all worked out, but Lisa came in and changed it from an average lounge to a fantastic lounge, she has great vision on thinking outside the box and has created a wonderful lounge for me, but also she has a close relationship with contractors and suppliers which can help to keep the cost down. So I would thoroughly recommend her if you want to go from average to stunning. Comment - Grahame Young

This project meant a lot to me as my clients asked me to update their apartment in a home for adults with learning disabilities.

More than anything i wanted to provide them with an aesthetically pleasing and cohesive home, that encompassed all their needs at their fingertips while providing colour and texture to enjoy every day!

The brief was to update and transform their whole property and change the way their home felt.

From the layout and finishes to the smallest details, every element was thoughtfully designed to create a space that’s beautiful, functional, and made for everyday living.

FROM OUTDATED TO TIMELESS | CLIENT CONCEPT ✨

Our client’s brief was simple: transform this bland, outdated open-plan living and dining space into a warm, characterful room that feels as though it truly belongs within the cottage.

The design started with the foundations — a beautiful organic herringbone oak floor, creating warmth and flow throughout the space.

We then introduced traditional ceiling beams, with delicate brass spotlights tucked between them, adding architectural interest while enhancing the cottage’s character. ✨

A carefully selected wall colour, chosen and signed off by our client, brings another layer of warmth to the scheme, while the addition of a log burner creates the perfect focal point — and somewhere to put those feet up at the end of the day. 🔥

For a touch of colour, we designed bespoke green Roman blinds, adding softness and bringing the outside in, while our client’s request for a hand-painted feature wall gives the room a truly individual feel and creates the perfect backdrop for their own furniture and treasured pieces.

Every element has been considered to create a room that feels warm, layered, timeless and completely at home within its surroundings.

And this is just the beginning…

These are our 3D concept renderings — now we can’t wait to show you how the finished room comes together. 👀

Beautiful interiors are one thing.
Feeling confident throughout the process is another🤍
And that’s exactly what we want every Ruler client to feel!

The shift away from minimal white and grey interiors is gaining momentum, and we are swapping cool greytones for warmer tactile, earthy palettes, layered finishes, personalized details, & natural materials
warmth is now less of a trend and more of a foundation for home design to give rooms more depth and personality.

Assemble your concept thoughtfully with pieces you love – vintage offer the chance to tell a story when entertaining!

Remember when you are looking at inspiration (ie AI images), and want to recreate that at home, take into account your natural light, room size and window type!
