On David Attenburgh's 100th birthday 🎉 we thought it would be fitting to introduce our next 'Member in Focus', Clare Fowler-Potts.
Fowler-Potts is a self-trained artist who lives on the edge of a cliff at Port of Ness on the Isle of Lewis. Animals and nature are the preferred subjects of her whimsical artworks – nature brings her joy and she hopes that this sense of happiness is passed on to her audience. During An Talla Solais’ Members’ Show in 2025 visitors to the Gallery had an overwhelmingly positive response to the surreal and playful painting that Clare Fowler-Potts exhibited and we look forward to seeing her work on show in our Library from the 30th May until the 19th July. You can still see the beautiful landscape paintings of our current 'Member in Focus' Jenny Hepburn as well as paintings by George Macpherson RSA and Mairearad Green up until Sunday 17th May. We are open today - 10am - 5pm (closed 1.30pm - 2pm)
