This is an excellent event and very worth a visit around 300 quality traders selling the very best items and held over 2 days. I have fresh stock come in the last few weeks which will be coming along 🤗

Something a little different from my usual posts and not ever shared this but it does mean a lot to me as to what had to overcome, here to inspire 🙏🏻💕

From these images they were taken within a week of each other exactly 3 years ago. I look well, full of life and energy.
When in fact actually I was running on absolute empty 😓
Commuting an hour round trip morning and evening for 20 months whilst building my business doing well and in a completely new area although I’m Welsh and established, it is risky.

Mum had been unwell for 18 months to that point and caring for every need too and trying to have some sort of social life. It was extremely hard but I managed to do it all. But at the cost of my health. I would be away from my business for 8 long painful months.

Today marks 3 years exactly I was admitted to hospital via ambulance from the out of hours Drs with an infection and then other nutritional deficiencies which was low iron ferritin, folate, b12 and Vit D. I can honestly say I thought my time was up 😓💔 I fell unwell very quickly over 24 hours and had been out with friends the night before but drove. I went in with feeling not good terrible in fact and a very high heart rate. I was dehydrated and needed to be assessed at the hospital. Got there via ambulance and things turned very quickly. I went from a chair in the A&E corridor to Resus as I just remember shouting out help me! 😓 I remember being absolutely terrified but they worked on me pretty quickly to find my potassium was worrying low and everything was out of sync. I was admitted for a week and for the next 3 months I was in and out of hospital and in the meantime lost my Uncle Vernon 💔
I recovered slowly so slowly as they got a lot wrong with my deficiencies and to learn and heal myself as the drs just didn’t care. I had to be my own health advocate as I had for Mum years previously.

So my moral of the story, I almost lost everything and almost my life in early September 2023 after putting my heart and soul. Blood, sweat and tears into my business as I wasn’t messing about and had the determination and drive, I was making it a success as I have with previous premises.

It’s so lovely to receive images of my items sold now in situ in their forever home 🏠 Thank you to Richie who sent me a select few of the items he’s purchased from me over the last few years. I appreciate your support as always being such a loyal and valued customer since I opened here 4 and a half years ago.
He came along to visit last Saturday on a very wet bank holiday weekend! But found the oak console table which looks fantastic dressed at home 🙌
The other images are just a few other items he purchased in 2023. It literally inky feels like it was last summer! Time flies when you’re having fun 🤩

A great few days in Malvern it never disappoints ☺️ I also attended the Three Counties Showground antiques fair yesterday. It is usually on a Sunday but is always on for the summer bank holidays instead.
What a turnout for bank holiday, it was bustling with business so many stands in the inside sheds, hall and for the outside casual pitches with a sea of buyers. It was great to see 😊 it was fab to catch up with so many trade pals from all over the country too! 🙌

Yesterday did really bring back some good memories too 💞 I rarely used to miss a fair there up until 4 years ago but now I’m back doing the trade fairs albeit select ones throughout the year ⭐️ so keep your eyes peeled on the socials.

When I reflect on what I’ve done to get the job done in previous years before now and the journey it’s been the last 20 years, the hard work and dedication to think how on earth did I do it?! 🙏🏻😓 absolutely crazy but I didn’t even think about it I just got on with it.

I would drive from North Wales at midnight either with a high top long wheel base van or box van with tail lift (sometimes forgetting the lift was up and fall off!) 😂 roll up at 4am at Malvern wait in the queue for a casual outside pitch for a few hours until gates open, cat nap but on guard not to fully fall asleep 😳 get on site, set up shop, sell and do well or do ok and get by depends on the takings 🙏🏻 feel absolutely shattered by 11am and want a nap but can’t as serving 😭
eat a load of junk in between then back up around 2pm go for food in Malvern, then home 🏠 in that order!

Sounds crazy full on but loved every single moment and wouldn’t have it any other way. Its all about the fun and excitement of the adventure as never knowing what was going to sell or come home with you ☺️

So if you are a little way away from the showroom and want to come and take a look at Malvern this month I’ll be there!

Just come into stock today from the lovely Sue is an impressive original William Moorcroft vase, Freesia pattern on a lemon ground being a little more desirable and dates from roughly 1935, 26cm high.
The shape is of baluster form with a straight neck with impressed Moorcroft stamp and sighed Moorcroft blue underglaze.
