This stunning and rare pair of chairs have just arrived and they really just the sort of special find we are always looking for.

Early 19th century, pine construction originally painted black with layers of dry scraped paint - classical Swedish wheat sheaf backrests, very like the Hepplewhite style of English chairs and upholstered in a vintage soft pale off white h**p fabric.

This week has been hands down one of the best weeks for sourcing some of the most beautiful things.
Any trader will tell you how hard it is to find pale Victorian pine pieces of this scale in such fabulous condition. They often hot foot it off with the American buyers, but honestly I would love this one to find its new perfect home here. Well not here! We just don’t have the space for this one but it’s definitely got everything we seek for our own home vibe and I know you’re going to love it too.

12 deep separated shelved sections, partially glazed so good for hiding away some practical less pretty things, but then wow! The display potential coupled with practicality are endless.
Lovely shaping to the apron base, which continues around the sides. Pale warm honey coloured pine and nice simple but original catches make this cupboard utterly perfect in our opinion 🤩

I just wanted to add that yesterday I had the most incredible day buying The Country House Car Boot - my first time there and it really was as good as everyone had said it was. Perhaps it was because it was the last one of the year, but the stalls were endless with so much quality, I found a plethora of beautiful smaller items that made my heart sing. I bumped into so many friends and fellow instagram dealers and traders it was just the best day out and my car was fully laden with great finds!

There is a lovely surprise inside! A small inner drawer probably originally for candles. Original handles, escutcheons and paint. There are a few age related marks and scuffs but overall in great condition. No worm, and a very solid piece ready to provide great storage whilst also looking great in many different room settings.

Hand made rush seat, this stunning and unique elbow chair has such beautiful lines and curves… a generous seat and extremely comfortable, in a nutshell it’s a stunner 🧡

A lovely old painted pine cabinet with up-stand and a useful shelf for displaying prettier items and sturdy interior shelves. A pleasing latch and interior door slider bolts.

The perfect piece to add character to a kitchen, utility or hallway or even bathroom. A few scuffs to the paint on the top as shown, but overall in very good clean condition and a pleasing duck egg /grey blue to suit most colour schemes.

Unusual as made from pine, they were generally walnut or oak… stained to give the look of oak. Pad feet and handles which would have been added later, these are Edwardian but the escutcheon is original.
An interesting antique piece to add character to an alcove or nook. Add a mirror above or enjoy as a small desk or laptop workspace.

The gilded corbels are also for sale. We have x 4 of these £80 pair or £150 for all four.

Beautiful old French floral painting in original frame will be available The Country Brocante Woodford Farm event on Saturday September 5th (see their website for full details and ticket info) where we will have with us a collection of carefully curated special treasures!

This beautiful antique pine piece has just been sourced. Wonderful condition for its age, stunning hand forged ironmongery , the latch, key and side handles are all original. A warm honey pine, great for linen storage with its deep box and candle box or perhaps for toys as the easy latch presses closed and can be opened with the key. An added bonus is the deep bottom drawer.

Beautiful handmade colourful old Kilim rug, available now. Embroidered sections and incredible depth of pattern work and texture. It’s not perfect, a few areas of gapping as shown, it could be repaired (I have a good rug man!) but when down and on rug gripper it’s really not noticeable. Selling as is at a good price to reflect the age related wear. A beautiful statement rug to add character and warmth to your home.
