Having adult money means you can treat yourself to a bit of big kid fun, so I splashed out on these hand made Halloween chocolates from 🎃🍫

I got their viral S’mores Chocolate Pumpkin, which sold out within the first hour of release, and their 13 Days of Halloween box. Was it worth it? YES!!!

🎃 S’mores Chocolate Pumpkin 550g £40
👻 13 Days of Halloween ‘Dr Bradbury’s Compendium of Curiosities’ £75

The Halloween box has 12 different small chocolate bars plus a large hidden filled bar inside, so there’s plenty to get stuck into.

They do stock drops twice a week and sell out in minutes, so I was super excited to get my hands on these.

Everything from the packaging and design to the quality of the chocolate is so well done. It’s definitely a treat, but you can see why people love them, and delivery was quick too.

If you fancy treating yourself, go and check them out. It’s always good to support a local business, especially when they’re making chocolate this good ❤️

Adult money well spent. 🎃🍫

A proper Beef Bourguignon for a cosy autumn evening 🍂

There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to cook hearty, comforting dishes, and this Trés Bon Beef Bourguignon mix was just the ticket.

I put my own little twist on the recipe. As I don’t have a slow cooker, I made mine in the pressure cooker instead. I also seared the beef first and added some bacon to give it a deeper flavour.

The result was absolutely amazing. Beautifully tender beef, a rich, delicious sauce packed with flavour and the sort of meal that makes you want to go back for seconds.

I served it with buttery mash and tenderstem broccoli, which paired perfectly with the beef and that rich, delicious sauce. A proper comforting dinner for these chilly autumn evenings.

I love how easy the Gordon Rhodes mix makes it to create a hearty meal at home, without having to spend hours in the kitchen.

Fancy trying it yourself? You can use my code BWBB26 for 20% off at Gordon Rhodes until 30th November.

Are you a slow cooker or pressure cooker person? Have you tried Beef Bourguignon before, or would you give this a go?

I braved the weather and headed to the Hotwalls Studios for my first ever punch needle workshop with the fabulous and talented Lily, who owns Lily ☻ rug tufting ✿ Portsmouth.

Along with five others, Lily taught us how to make our own coasters with a simple design. Since it’s Halloween, I went for a pumpkin and I’m so proud of how it turned out 🎃

It’s going to have pride of place on my work desk. Plus, I think I may have found my next creative obsession 🤩😍

Lily runs so many lovely workshops, from punch needle to making your own rugs using a rug gun, so there’s plenty to get creative and book your next workshop. Thank you Lily for such a fun evening.

Still buzzing from and not just from the immense amount of caffeine I drank! 😂☕

But what a festival! I met so many local coffee suppliers, tried coffees from different stands and learnt loads along the way.

I loved seeing all the tech and gadgets behind making our cups of coffee, and chatting to some of the coffee farm owners about their work and the journey from growing the beans to roasting and getting that final cup into our hands.

There’s so much thought that goes into sustainable farming, roasting and even packaging. It gave me an even bigger appreciation for the people and processes behind our daily coffee. Loved chatting to .coffee on the stand and learning about their bean to cup process from Colombia.

It wasn’t just coffee either! There were cakes, drinks and brilliant local creatives to discover. The team at showed us which of their liqueurs pair so well with coffee, with some lovely tasters to try along the way too! 😂

I especially loved meeting Denise from , who upcycles coffee sacks into gorgeous bags and totes, giving them a new life rather than letting them go to waste. Such a lovely idea!

A big well done to the team behind and for bringing this to Portsmouth. It was such a well put together event, full of people who really love what they do.

I learnt so much, met some lovely people and I’m already looking forward to next year!

Have you been to Coffee on the Coast? And how do you take yours? ☕👇

Monday meal plans sorted at Piecaramba Southsea 🥧🍕

Caught up with a friend today and with 50% off their pie and pizza meal deals, it was a pretty good excuse to pop in!

I love this place, there’s always fun movie memorabilia to spot on the walls. It’s busy with the deal on, so I’d recommend booking ahead.

The pies are always delicious and my go to is the Hen Party pie with mushy peas, mustard mash and gravy. You can’t beat that combo!

They also do stonking Detroit style pizzas, so there’s plenty to choose from. Plus, selected cocktails and slushie cocktails are 2 for £15.

Just remember, Mondays are only open until 9pm, so get your pie obsession booked in!

What’s your favourite pie and sides combo? 👇

A wonderful evening at October Supper Club ❤️

I’ve been wanting to try one of Tara’s supper clubs for a while, so I managed to get tickets for myself and my parents as an early birthday present for Mum. We had such a lovely evening at the , with everything from the food and venue to the team and company being spot on.

It was lovely to see there too, who had brought his mum along.

Here’s what we ate 🍽️

• To start: 🥃 Amaretto Old Fashioned and tasty little canapés, followed by warm sea salt focaccia with chicken skin butter. I need to recreate that butter to have at home!

• Starters: 🥩 Steak tartare with tonnato, plus a thoughtful alternative for Mum and Dad of burrata on sourdough with blistered baby tomatoes, basil, pine nuts and olive oil.

• Main: 🍖 Pork and girolle pappardelle, glossy, full of flavour with every element shining through, especially that creamy mushroom sauce.

• Dessert: 🍏 Deep fried apple and blackberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream, followed by a Baby Guinness shot and Italian-style biscuits.

As it was BYOB, I brought a 2019 Classic Cuvée from to celebrate Mum’s birthday, and it paired beautifully with the menu.

One of my favourite moments was when the team brought out dessert with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to Mum. Such a lovely personal touch that meant a lot and made her feel really special. ❤️

Thank you to Tara and the whole team at The Canteen for such a memorable evening.

🥫BLOODY MARY + PIZZA SLICE = £10! 🍕

Started Sunday 12–6pm, serving their Bloody Mary cocktails using their own house marinara sauce, the same one they use on their pizzas.

This is the first time I’ve seen somewhere use their own marinara in a Bloody Mary and I think it’s genius. There’s a lovely bit of texture, spice and the flavours are so well balanced. You can tell they understand what makes a good BM, and as a BM lover, I really appreciate that!

Then there’s the grated Parmesan skirt around the rim. Such a fun idea and SO good to lick off as you drink it! 😂🧀

There were four of us trying them inc ho loves BM’s as much as me and we all ordered a second one, so that probably tells you everything!

And the pizza… well, Bloody Mary + pizza is a pretty perfect Sunday lunch combo!

🍕 Tomato Pie £4
Extra house tomato sauce, fresh basil & EVOO

🍕 Regular Pie £4.50
House tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil, EVOO & Grana Padano

🍕 Pepperoni Pie £5
House tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, fresh basil, EVOO & Grana Padano

🍕 Vodka Pie £4.50
House vodka sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil, EVOO & Grana Padano

The BM on its own is £9 and the slices are £4–£5, so £10 for both is a cracking deal.

We got there at 12 and it was already getting busy, so I’d definitely book ahead.

Love this place and the team are great. They also have some brilliant beers from , who are behind FarFarOut.

Please keep this one around, FarFarOut! 🍅🍕

Lovely afternoon at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard for Navy Day ⚓️

It was a rare chance to wander around the , walk along HMS Warrior and head out onto the pontoons and pier to see boats up close that you don’t normally get public access to.

We had a wander around with lots of fun interactive exhibits for kids and adults, and of course had to stop which is inside Boathouse 4, for coffee and cake ☕️🍰
Did you know they do amazing tasty Sunday roasts too? If you’re dining there, you also get free access to walk around the dockyard (individual exhibits are extra).

There was a little market outside too, including , which fitted nicely with the naval trading theme. Bananas are a large UK import and they were even giving them away for free! 🍌

And all 45 Pride of Portsmouth lions are here for the event! 🦁 It was great seeing them all together and getting up close to see the details. I even spotted where had her name on one!

The event is open until 9pm tonight if you’re heading down.

A little visit to Rakuzen Sushi & Noodle Bar in Southsea 🍣

Rakuzen has been on Elm Grove since 2018, serving up a mix of sushi, Japanese dishes and South East Asian favourites.

Everything tasted really fresh and there was plenty to choose from, so we had a bit of a feast!

To start with:

🥢 Edamame
🍤 Ebi Furai, deep fried breaded king prawns
🌿 Chuka Wakame, seasoned seaweed salad
🐟 Tuna Tataki
🐟 Salmon Sashimi
🌱 Tofu salad

For the mains:

🍜 Beef soup with buckwheat noodles and dashi broth
🥩 Beef Rendang with boiled rice
🍜 Char Kway Teow with king prawns, fish cakes, eggs and sambal sauce

The beef rendang was a favourite for me. The beef was so soft and full of flavour, and the Char Kway Teow was so good too. The noodles were perfectly cooked and springy, with loads of flavour from the prawns, fish cakes, egg and sambal.
