Whether you’ve never used a sewing machine before or you’re looking to refresh your skills, this friendly and supportive course will help you build confidence and learn the fundamentals of sewing in a relaxed environment.

🧵 That’s a wrap on another beginners’ sewing course! 🪡

This week was the final session of my beginners’ sewing course, and the project was “posh” bunting! ✂️

It’s been another really rewarding course, watching everyone’s confidence grow and their skills develop. Seeing people go from never having used a sewing machine to proudly finishing their projects is one of the best parts of what I do. 🥰

I absolutely love hearing everyone say, “I never thought I could make this!” It’s such a rewarding part of teaching, and I’m incredibly proud to be part of each person’s sewing journey. 💕🪡

Watching their confidence grow with every project makes it all worthwhile!

This week’s class focused on two practical sewing techniques: creating a zipped pocket for the inside of a bag and shortening a pair of jeans while preserving the original hem.

This week, our beginners started their third project, and everyone successfully completed the first part of the challenge! 🧵👏

Next week, we’ll add the finishing touches and bring everything together to create a beautiful, completed pouch. 👜

Would you like me to run another six-week Beginners Sewing Course? If so I am considering either of these two dates.

Before confirming the date, I’d love to get an idea of the level of interest, particularly from anyone who missed out on the current course.

If you’d be interested in joining, please let me know which option would work best for you.

Option 1 - Mondays starting 26th October, 2, 16, 23, & 30 Nov and 7th of December. 6.30-8.30pm.

Option 2 - Thursdays starting November 5, 12, 19, & 26 and 3, 10 December. 6.30-8.30pm.

Venue: Potterspury Village Hall, NN12 7PX

There will be a maximum of 8 spaces available, so those of you interested, please get in contact with your preferred option.
