MUSIC EVENING RECAP - FEAT. MOON COMPASS COLLECTION

Last night, we enjoyed Music Evening, exploring the award-winning Compass Collection from MOON by Simaudio, with two superb system combinations showcasing just how great a modern Hi-Fi can sound.

SESSION A – MOON 371 NETWORK AMPLIFIER

We began with the super-impressive MOON 371 Network Amplifier, partnered with PMC Prophecy 9 loudspeakers. We enjoyed a selection of music streamed from Qobuz before switching to vinyl, played through the stunning Michell Gyro turntable. It was a wonderful demonstration of the 371’s versatility, musicality and ability to deliver an engaging performance from both digital and analogue sources.

SESSION B – TAKING PERFORMANCE TO ANOTHER LEVEL

For Session B, we took performance to a whole new level with the MOON 491 Network Preamplifier feeding a pair of MOON 461 power amplifiers (configured in bridged mono mode). Again, paired with the flagship PMC Prophecy 9 loudspeakers and connected throughout with a complete Nordost power and audio cable loom, this was a truly exceptional sounding system.

With a total system value approaching £30,000, this combination ranks among the very best we have heard in our showroom. All attendees were unanimous in their appreciation of its performance, highlighting the outstanding resolution, detail, power and control, all delivered with a wonderfully musical character that remained effortless and easy on the ear.

COME AND HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF

We still have this impressive system set up in our Preston showroom, so if you missed the evening, or would simply like to experience it for yourself, we would be delighted to welcome you for a demonstration.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, and a special thank you to John Carroll, Managing Director of Renaissance Audio, MOON’s UK distributor, for co-hosting such an enjoyable evening.

If you’re looking for a modern hi-fi system that combines sublime sound quality with outstanding connectivity (and convenience), make sure the MOON Compass Collection is high on your audition shortlist.
