A place to show off my unique, handcrafted wares I create to sell on Etsy. Like all good stories this one starts with a dog, well two dogs to be precise.

Ruckus & Blake. Now sadly departed from this world due to old age but living on in the name of this shop. Ruckus & Blake both loved sticks of course, Ruckus found joy in nearly every stick he came across but could never settle on one and either destroyed or abandoned them by the end of the walk. Blake was more discerning in his choices and more considerate of the challenge of the journey ahead, br

inging only his most valued treasures home with him. The wood for the first necklace I made and still wear came from such a stick, tipped with resin dyed with turmeric, oil finished and a copper tube for the waxed cotton cordage to run through. It has held up exceptionally well, a couple of scratches over the years and needing replacement cordage once but otherwise it is as it was the day it was finished. Even the copper tube has remained bright. I consider the pendant itself to be very water resistant and can accept replacing the cordage when required. Between then and now has been a time of learning and experimenting and eventually coming to the conclusion that it might be time to start sharing my work with others that may like my creations. Unfortunately Blake's sticks are too rare to consider making many more necklaces from, however I have crafted a selection from other resources that are available for purchase along with other hand crafted oddments such as key/necklace hangers. Over time I hope to continue to expand the range of offerings. My intention is for most of my products to be unique and where there are similarities, no two items will be exactly identical.

Handmade over the course of several days to achieve a highly polished finish and available in a variety of special colours - some of which have been created and supplied by Stuart Semple of Culture Hustle - featuring Green Lit, Pinkest Pink & the new UNTITLED!

These pigments really pop in the light and even subtly change and morph depending on the intensity of the light!

Finishing up some endgrain wood & resin coasters with more on the way! Sanded up through 12 progressively higher grit papers over many, many hours, now just awaiting a final polish and wax.

Never would I claim that my necklaces are indestructible, but this "product testing" video goes to show that they are not fragile pieces with no longevity either.

These unlucky, partly finished and rejected examples were subjected to several forceful blows from a hammer in the name of science.

Once finished, polished & ready for sale they are even stronger & harder than this!

This one happens to be over 20 years old, relegated to the workshop as the handle needs structural tape support. One day I see it giving up, leaving me wet and disappointed, but what is life without risk?

Big thanks to Quest CNC for routing out an end-grain coaster mould-mould!! Water resistant MDF perfectly cut which I then varnished and filled will silicone mould making goo.

Part of the background process involved in creating my products brought into view.
