I have had a couple of people asking if I will run an evening ‘Worden Wool Social’ on a Friday or Saturday evening. If you would be interested please let me know, I could only do it if enough people would want to attend. Let me know in the comments what you think!

Well it’s been a productive day, the new shop is starting to come together, still lots to do but definitely getting there and definitely on track for opening on Wednesday 28th.

The Worden Wool Social: A R**t Good Yarn!
Starting Wednesday 4th & Sunday 8th November 1-3pm at the Flock & Skein Workshop Studio, Worden Park, Leyland.
Join us for a relaxed, rustic gathering in a welcoming environment, surrounded by beautiful British wool and natural fibres.
Whether you knit, crochet, spin, felt or simply enjoy crafting and meeting like-minded people, everyone is welcome.

Hot drinks available to purchase for £2.50, including speciality coffees, flavoured teas and hot chocolate.

These are free to attend events but spaces are limited, so advance booking is recommended. Walk-ins welcome, subject to availability.

SHOP OPENING UPDATE!

It’s been a full-on week trying to get everything sorted in the new unit, and the weather certainly isn’t helping!
Even though I’m only moving next door, there’s still so much to do. With heavy rain and high winds forecast again for tomorrow, I’m sadly well behind where I wanted to be.
Rather than stressing myself out trying to get everything finished, I’ve decided to push back the opening date to Wednesday 28th October.

Sometimes you just have to take a breath, accept things don’t always go to plan, and give yourself a little more time.
Thank you for your patience and support while I get everything ready. I can’t wait to welcome you all into the new Flock & Skein shop!

Are you a talented local needle or wet felter working with British wool?

I’m looking for a small number of fibre artists who would be interested in selling their handmade creations at Flock & Skein in Worden Park.

This is a commission-only opportunity with no shelf rental fees. Alongside being displayed in the shop, your work will also be featured on the Flock & Skein website, giving customers from across the UK the opportunity to purchase your creations.

As a thank you, all makers who sell with us will also receive 10% off all carded wool purchased from Flock & Skein, helping to keep your creativity flowing while supporting British wool.

It’s the last day of dyeing before I move in to the new unit next week. It will feel like a luxury having a dedicated workshop and dyeing room. Plus this will give me more space in the new shop space making it more customer friendly and accessible.
