We’ve got just 2 panels left to make these fabulous Christmas stockings. If you’d like one of the panels you’d better let me know!

Lots of Christmas fabrics and panels now making their way to new homes 🎅🏻 Father Christmas will be pleased that you’re all busy making and I’m sure he’ll enjoy seeing all your fabulous creations when he comes to visit! 🎄

If you would like one of the two remaining panels then I can pop it to one side for you to collect at your convenience or I can post out to you. Just let me know your preference!

I’ve got crochet projects stacking up for me and at the same time a load of fabric & quilty projects that I’ll be bringing to the workshop space next year. A lot to do, and hopefully I’ll be able to share some workshop dates for next year soon.

When people don’t know what to buy for you this Christmas, maybe a voucher is the one to be considered, you can spend vouchers for our shop on any of our products or services including workshops & quilting. 🫶🏻

Anyway, I’ve not got round to sharing this gorgeous new yarn with you yet, it’s still in a box waiting to find shelf space, and yet you’ve all been busy delving into the box of delights and already we’ve sold out of some of the colours we had! Don’t worry…it’ll all be restocked!

I’m sharing this today as one of my next projects is going to be the crochet jumper (bottom left first photo) and the biggest decision is which colours to choose. There’s a long sleeved option (which I’ll be making) and it uses 5 of the colours….operation Christmas Fairisle crochet jumper will be underway just as soon as I’ve settled on a colourway! There’s just too much choice!

Feedback so far for this gorgeous new yarn is that it’s deliciously soft and beautiful to work with. I think Stylecraft have created a beautiful new yarn….my review will follow just as soon as I’ve decided on colours and crocheted my jumper!!

Sunday - (closed as always)

Just popping these here, over the last few weeks when there’s been a moment of sunshine we’ve had a last few visitors to pop into our garden 🫶🏻

I wondered has anyone else had an abundance of ladybirds?? I’ve never seen so many, and so many different varieties all together in one place!

We had a lot of ladybirds in spring, then they disappeared and came back again 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyway I just came on to say I’ve had a good move around, I think I might get a few cheeky comments over the coming days, but then would you expect anything less when I had a day or two on my own in the shop?? I wonder what mum will think when she gets to work on Tuesday….I’m sure she’ll tell you all 😂. She doesn’t know yet 🤫 it’s a secret! 😂😂😂

There’s just enough time to squeeze one last workshop into the year… and on the run up to Christmas I thought this would be something a little different. My tweed Christmas puddings aren’t new and lots of you will recognise them from my kits in the shop, but if anyone out there is a little afraid of tackling one of these then the workshop might be just what you need.

No sewing, no experience needed. Just you, a pair of scissors & your lunch!

You’ll need a kit for this workshop, at the moment I’ve got 6 different tweed ones for you to choose from. But if you’ve already got one of my kits tucked away somewhere then you’ll need to bring it with you.

So if you fancy joining me to make a festive decoration then drop me a message. As always at deposit of £15 is required to secure your place.

What an enjoyable day it was yesterday with a lovely bunch of ladies making my Christmas centrepieces, looking forward to seeing them completed…lots of different fabric and felt choices and although they’ve all used the same panel, they’ll each have their own unique centrepieces. There’s such a joy in just sitting together, sewing and having a right good chat! 😃

You might have noticed there’s another little picture featuring today… 🥹 I know I’m biased because she’s my daughter but she really is amazing…

After learning a little about “Poppy Day” last year, Izzy has been patiently waiting for it to come around again, she’s looking forward to putting her donation into the box. A few nights ago she told me she wanted to give away the entire contents of her money box to Poppy Day for people who needed it more than her. 🥹

I suggested that instead she could do something to raise some money for the poppy appeal herself. She loves to craft and draw so together we decided some bookmarks would be a good thing to make. She has made a few so far and is chuffed to have raised some money.. I said I would ask if any of my customers & friends would like one in exchange for a small donation. I’ve got a couple at the moment but if you’d like to ‘order’ one from her I know she would be over the moon.

I’m so proud of my girl 🥰 ❤️ I’ll keep you posted of the amount she raises.

⚡️NEW YARN PACKS⚡️

I told myself no more crochet alongs this year….too many other things I need to do….And then I was shown this 👀

Anyone who knows me well knows that this is literally what I’ve been waiting for 😂 my favourite childhood books colliding with crochet. And so I had no option, I obviously had to order the kits!

There’s some extra treats tucked up in each bag, and I’ve only got a few so if you’d like one let me know…

The CAL stats on 4th November, I probably won’t have time to keep up to date with this one, but I’ll certainly enjoy the process of making it.

It’s not going to be long before I can introduce my daughter to the world I loved to disappear into, and I absolutely can’t wait to read them together. The last book was published when we were on holiday in Cornwall, I insisted we had to find a bookshop so that I could get my copy and read it ⚡️

All I know is this one makes me smile and takes me back to some of the best memories. I know I’ll be saving my wand crochet hook for her - maybe one day she’ll love the books & learn to crochet too ❤️

It’s that time of year again where lots of people have started crafting for autumn, Halloween and Christmas. My favourite time of year! The nights are drawing in…which incidentally whenever anyone says that to me I’m reminded of my Grandad, it was his favourite saying and came out literally the day after the longest day of the year 😂 I’d inwardly eye roll and chuckle whenever he said it!

But for me, I love nothing more than sitting by the fire sewing/crocheting/knitting in an evening and this time of year you’ll rarely see me in an evening without one of those projects on the go!

This week felt has been making it’s usual autumn comeback 😂 as lots of you are busy crafting decorations and all sorts so today’s post is just a reminder that we do indeed have felt. In pieces or on the roll, and theres around 50 different colours to choose from so hopefully we’ve got you covered!

Everyone who’s attending the workshop with me tomorrow will be happily playing with felt and fabric…well that’s the plan at least anyway!

If you’d like any of them just let me know and I’ll be sure to pop your name on them. They’re just the ends of rolls, which can be tricky to guess what’s left when the rolls get smaller!

Momma G has just whipped up this cute ABC quilt using the panel, but adding some extra fabric to jolly it up 😃

Since we come from a farming background we always love it when we find farm themed prints. When I grew up we had dairy cows and a few chickens so this really reminds me of my childhood 🐄 🐓 by adding the fabric squares it’s made the panel a better shape for a quilt….not quite as long and thin!

You could cut the panel up just like mum has and add any fabrics you like. You don’t have to stick to the farm theme like we have, but If you’d like to make it just like hers then we’ve got all the fabrics to make it the same way.

Panels are £9.80 - if you’d like one saving let me know and I’ll be sure to do that for you.
