I think the pond might be the best addition we’ve made to our garden…I’ve spent a lot of time just watching it this year and one of the highlights of my day has been going to check on how it was getting on!

We’ve had so many different species of pond life, insects, birds and animals visiting and I can’t believe how quickly it has established itself!

We set up a wildlife camera next to it to capture some of the visitors including the fox in slide 3…if you turn the sound up you can actually hear it drinking (along with the nighttime road noise 🙈) - but that just proves you don’t need to be in the middle of nowhere to help wildlife, if you have a bit of space, a small pond can make all the difference - especially with the heatwaves we’ve had this year!

I was so worried the pond wouldn’t cope with the temperatures as it wasn’t established but although we lost of few plants, most things have really thrived and it has been a proper little oasis.

When we’ve had another day with negative news about the environment sometimes it’s good to remember that we can all make a difference in little ways ❤️

Wildflower means different things to different people but to me means that it mirrors nature as closely as possible. It can mean wild and untamed or it can mean beautiful and delicate and when couples come to me asking for wildflowers I’ll use my experience to interpret their brief into a design that they love.

Maisie & Jamie wanted their flowers to mirror the wildflower meadow at their venue but to work in their elegant wedding breakfast space so we created this design to bring both those elements together.

October textures ❤️

I love Autumn and all the beautiful textures - it always makes me think of crisp walks, log fires and cosy days - I find so many of my memories are bound up with nature and the seasons - what memories does Autumn conjure up for you?

I got married in Autumn so it always brings happy memories - it is such a gorgeous time to get married when nature shows off some of its best colours and textures.

We’ll be making gorgeous Autumnal bowls of joy in my workshop on Saturday with Imogen Partridge, Watercolour Illustration so I can’t wait to share some of the lovely creations! Congratulations to Lydia & Tom who married yesterday Bury Court - hope you had the best day!

Lydia’s bouquet was filled with gorgeous seasonal blooms including beautiful spray roses, cosmos, dahlias and more 🥰 Thanks to my lovely growers Field Flowers and Lisa Firth- Flower grower & floristry, Guildford, Surrey for nailing the brief as always ❤️

This was my last wedding of 2026 which has just absolutely flown by so I’m taking a bit of time off to recover before getting into Autumn and Winter workshops mode and planning for 2027!
