My heart was not saddened without reason on Eid day. Deep inside, there was an unexplainable heaviness, as if I somehow knew that someone very dear to us was about to leave.
Yesterday, we received the heartbreaking news that our beloved phopo Jaan has left us forever and returned to her Creator.
Those who have always sensed the love and admiration in my words whenever I spoke about her can perhaps understand the depth of our grief today. Phopo Jaan was a woman of immense kindness, wisdom, compassion, and love. Many of life’s most valuable lessons, virtues, and beautiful values were learned from her.
The profound love and respect I saw in my mother’s eyes for her sister taught us how precious phopo Jaan truly was. It made us love her even more, and often we felt that there could be no relationship in this world more sincere, warm, and loving than hers.
She was a wonderful sister, a devoted mother, and a deeply cherished aunt and grandmother. Her absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but her love, prayers, wisdom, and beautiful memories will remain alive in our hearts forever.
We humbly request everyone to remember her in their prayers. May Allah forgive her shortcomings, fill her grave with light, elevate her ranks, and grant her the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
