Can you put real wood flooring over underfloor heating? 🤔

Yes — but not every type of real wood flooring is suitable.

For underfloor heating, we generally recommend engineered wood flooring because its multi-layer construction provides much better stability when the temperature changes.

Solid wood flooring can be more challenging and may experience more movement, expansion and shrinkage.

There are also several other things that need to be considered, including:

🌡️ Maximum floor surface temperature
🏠 Subfloor condition
💧 Moisture levels
🧴 Adhesive and installation method
🔥 The type of underfloor heating system
