This August I’m staying home.
Now the kids are grown up, I don’t feel the need to travel during the school holidays. Instead, I’m embracing all the little rituals that make summer feel like summer, just a little closer to home.
Slow breakfasts, dinner picnics, flea market mornings, time on the river, ice cream with friends, bringing the outdoors in, and as many sunsets as I can.
Here’s to a slower August, filled with simple pleasures and making the most of where we are. I think a beautiful summer doesn’t have to be somewhere you go—it can be something you create.
