From an underused conservatory to a bright, practical sunroom.

The existing ceramic tiles in this secluded Cornish home were professionally assessed and covered with smoothing compound, creating an even surface for the new flooring.

We then fitted Signature Trevellas Oak in a parquet pattern with a single-plank border. Extra care was required around the angled walls, window line, French doors and external threshold.

One continuous floor now connects the renovated kitchen, hallway and extension of this Cornish village cottage.

Completed over four days, the project used Spacia Wilton Oak in a parquet pattern with a carefully fitted single-plank border.

Precise setting-out was essential to keep the design balanced as it passed kitchen cabinetry, doorways and the curved staircase. The result combines the character of an oak-effect parquet floor with the practicality needed in busy connected spaces.

A Grade II-listed home calls for flooring that complements its character.

At Grosvenor House in Falmouth, MH Flooring installed Padstow, an undyed wool loop-pile carpet, across the feature staircase, upper landings and adjoining rooms.

The carpet was fitted as a tailored stair runner and finished with dark stair rods that sit naturally alongside the iron balustrade and polished timber handrail. Its restrained colour adds warmth without competing with the building’s period details.
