Yes… you actually BUILD the whole thing yourself! 🏠

Starting with slabs of clay, you’ll cut, shape, construct and add all those gorgeous little details to create your very own ceramic house from scratch.

And honestly, this is going to be one of those workshops where you stand back at the end and think…

“I can’t believe I made that!” 🥹

No pottery experience needed. No need to be “creative”. Just come along, follow the step-by-step guidance and see your little house slowly come to life.

Then once it’s been fired and glazed, pop a tealight or fairy lights inside and feel ridiculously proud every time you see it glowing on your windowsill. ✨

You didn’t buy it. You MADE it.
And that makes it even more special. 🤍

Apparently crafting is good for you. Who knew?! 😂

Although, if you’ve ever spent a couple of hours around one of our workshop tables, you probably already did.

There’s something about switching off from everything else for a while. Keeping your hands busy. Learning something new. Having a natter with the person next to you. Drinking tea, eating cake and actually being present for a couple of hours.

No emails. No washing. No endless to-do list. Just making something.

And the best bit? You don’t even have to be “creative”. You don’t have to be good at it. You don’t have to make the best one in the room.

You just have to come and enjoy it.

So if crafting is officially a wellness trend now, we are VERY happy to be part of it. 😂

Make. Chat. Switch off.
That’s pretty much what we’ve been doing all along. 🫶🏻

September always feels like a little shift. The holidays are winding down, routines are returning, there’s a hint of autumn in the air… and suddenly spending a few hours tucked away in the studio making something lovely sounds VERY appealing.

And September at By HeatherMay is looking rather gorgeous.

We’ve got pottery, silver bangles, charm jewellery, candle making, fused glass, stained glass, willow weaving and punch needle with crafternoon tea.

Some are beautifully autumnal, some aren’t autumnal at all - but every single one is an excuse to put a date in the diary, try something different and enjoy a few hours doing something just for you.

So I’m not. 😂

Just your little reminder that we’re CLOSED today while I enjoy a very rare Saturday off after you lot have officially crafted me out. 🫠

Thank you for keeping me so wonderfully busy - I’ll be back in September, rested, recharged and ready for the start of bonkers season. 🍂🧡

I’M TAKING SATURDAY OFF! 😅

No workshops this Saturday so… I’M HAVING IT because I’m knackered 😆

Summer has been absolutely incredible. You lot have booked, crafted, shopped, filled the studio and kept me ridiculously busy - and I genuinely couldn’t be more grateful.

BUT… I’ve also looked at next week’s diary. 😳
And then September.
And then autumn.
And then Christmas…

So I’m grabbing myself a Bank Holiday weekend, closing the studio on Saturday and doing… well, hopefully not very much at all.

Rain? Sunshine? Don’t care. 😂

Because autumn & winter at HeatherMay are about to do what autumn & winter at HeatherMay always do… GO ABSOLUTELY BONKERS. 🍂🎄

I’d just quite like to be slightly less knackered first. 😂 🫶🏻

I’ll see you all next week, RECHARGED and ready for the chaos. 🙌🏻

Apparently we’re putting flowers on everything this autumn… and I’m absolutely here for it. 🧡

We’re bringing together two gorgeous seasonal workshops, both packed with autumnal blooms, foliage and beautiful natural textures - just in VERY different ways!

🍁 Autumn Wreath Making - create a full, abundant wreath filled with foliage, berries, dried flowers, pinecones and some exciting new arrivals!

🌼 Pressed Flower Wax Melt Brittle - create a whopping 225g slab of beautifully fragranced wax melt brittle, decorated with pressed flowers and leaves in your chosen autumn colour palette.

Two completely different crafts.
One very beautiful season. 🍂
