Textured abstract art that changes how a whole room feels.

This one is 100x80x4cm, hand-painted in layers of lilac, pink and soft blue, with a palette knife texture you only really get in person. The light moves across it differently all day.

If you’re planning to redecorate, save this for later.

Original available now.

Hi, I’m Kate—the creator behind Mama Paints 💗

By day, I’m a Wishgranter ✨, and also a mum to two wonderful boys 👦🏻👦🏻.
When I get a spare moment, you’ll find me with a paintbrush in hand 🎨.
Give me colour, texture, and a touch of shimmer, and I’m completely in my element 💫.

I started this journey over five years ago as a way to cope with postnatal depression—painting gave my mind a positive focus and a much-needed outlet.
Looking back, it still blows my mind that I’ve completed exciting commissions and sold my art, and I am endlessly grateful to everyone who has supported me.

My ultimate dream? A cozy house by the sea, painting all day long 😍

If you’re looking for a hand-painted original piece to brighten up your home, feel free to drop me a message 💌!

It feels strange to look at these vibrant colors and remember where it all started.
When post-natal depression hit, picking up a paintbrush wasn’t about being an ‘artist’—it was about survival and finding a spark of joy again. Art became my way back to myself.

My inbox is always open for anyone struggling 💗

I’ve been trying to get back into painting alongside my full time (full on) job 😅

Painting really helped me switch off and relax and I miss that feeling!

My husband recently panelled my office and it’s pink 😍 so I thought I’d work on some paintings just for me!

Not going to lie, I did feel like I’ve lost my flow a bit and it wasn’t all coming out the way I wanted, but it has also made me want to try out different techniques and styles!

❤️
