Every day really is a school day, especially when you're at markets and events. There is always something to learn at every single event and this weekend just gone was no exception.
I forgot to add that when you're in crowds, it's really bloody easy to catch a cold too! 🤧🤒 Achoo! But I'm getting better now 😁
It was nice to sell older stock that I'd already accepted was not going to be liked by anyone except me 😂
Handmade, painted and hand stamped individual coasters - I had no idea how much to sell them for, so I looked at how much other people had priced similar, so I price matched.. turns out that was not going to work. I even had a couple of head shakes and tuts from people (awkward 🫣). The thing is, my trinket dishes are a similar price and people have always paid that, but it's a perception thing isn't it and I get that, I do it myself!
I forgot to swap the mirror to a lower shelf but I had several taller ladies who really appreciated it being up that high that it made me realise it had been important all along.
Currently, my rings of all styles are my highest selling item (of all time!) - who knew!
So after repricing my coasters and of course scoffing macarons (yum yum), the weekend was a success. Every sale is a win, every sale is special and hugely appreciated.
Thank you to all the visitors to my stall last weekend. It means so much 🙏❤️
I'm only working my other job this weekend, so I'll be back at the markets Sunday 4th October, in Romsey.
