A little information about some of the work that i feel important with my wooden designs.

With the items I make I fit keyhole hangers to them as they are more than man enough for keeping my projects where they need to be.

I dont supply any fixings to hang it on the wall. I leave that up to you or your handy man to to supply and fit the correct fixings for the material your fixing it to.

With the treatment of any of my woods the oils and waxes I use are to bring out the grain and the look of the wood it in no way protects the item from the elements if you leave it outdoors.

I dont provide a waterproof treatment at this time. If you would like to apply a wood protector please ask for the item to be left untreated.

Evening all its been a while, sorry but all this lovely sun and lots of work at my full time job doesn't give me a.lot of time to have fun.

This week I made an effort and thought I would have a go with some wonderful English oak. This hard wood took some time to prepare, I sanded it down to 240 grit and treated with a special oil.

I have a bit more to do with these projects before I show them off. I just wanted to give you a sneak peek at the finishes of the wood.

The engraving also came out very nicely before being treated with oil to give a nice warm sheen.

The second picture is of the second piece of oak im working on. Due to the weather I have only managed to get the sanding done so far.

Another bumper year for us at Marston Steam & Vintage Show all happening on 22nd & 23rd August 2026 | LE16 9TU

We have a record amount of exhibitors booked in already with the addition of new attractions such as the Craft Tent, Ye Olde Forge Tea Rooms, Wicksteed Park Model Boat Club will have a pop up lake with model boats and 'have a go' sessions. Party Workshop will be providing free circus skills kindly sponsored by CJ Sweepers Leices Ltd.

Remember! Children under 16 go free with accompanied guardian.

We have fixed the gate price again for this years show!
