Happy 18th to a talented young lady who loves to crochet!

27/10/2026

Back baking and decorating after my 4 months break and loved making this for a talented young ladies 18th birthday.

27/10/2026

So I am back after a 4 month surgical recovery, and what better way to restart than by creating a huge cake for a talented 18 year old young lady who loves to crochet!

I have never crocheted anything myself but enjoyed making decorations made to look like crocheted flowers, swatches and replicate the very cute animals that she makes. I thoroughly enjoyed making this 3 layer, 8 inch Madeira cake that weighed in at 3.7 kilos with the buttercream and fondant pieces on it!

Tomorrow I am baking for an 8 year olds ‘gaming’ cake and then it is Halloween cupcakes at the weekend!

It is great to be baking again so do get in touch to book your slots!

What do you think of this design? Handmade but you can write your own private and personal messages on the little cards then pop them back in.
Is it a Yes or No before I make more?

If you hate wrapping those special small presents, hate the use of sellotape and paper waste, if want your gift to be tied with a satin ribbon, and to be reusable, how about something like this?
Lots of styles, sizes and colour options.
