With Denby’s final ceramics rolling off the conveyor belt on 4 June 2026, it felt like the right moment to let this little Greenwich collection begin its next chapter.

These pieces have travelled with me through so many phases of life — from Leuchars, to my time in Germany, and then back across the UK through house moves and new kitchens. Wherever I landed, they always found their place. That deep, calm Greenwich green has been a quiet constant through it all.

But with the factory now quiet after more than two centuries of making, it feels like the right time to pass them on. A gravy jug with saucer, two mugs, and four egg cups — all Greenwich, all beautifully made, all carrying that unmistakable Denby weight and warmth.

Available in Unit 51 at The Loft Vintage & Antiques.

These amber beehive‑stem Römer glasses always make me smile. There’s something about that warm golden glow that takes me straight back to my tour‑guide days on the Rhine and Mosel… wandering through tiny wine villages, the river breeze, and those steep vineyards that looked like they were clinging on for dear life.

The amber in the stems is the exact colour of the wines from places like Piesport Goldtröpfchen — “Gold Drop” — one of those stops where you’d step off the coach, stretch your legs, and suddenly find yourself in the middle of a postcard.

This little pair has that same feeling: sunshine caught in glass, a quiet reminder of slow afternoons, cobbled streets, and the sound of church bells drifting over the river.

Available now in Unit 51 at The Loft Vintage & Antiques.

A little nostalgia for you… back when dads wore suits to work, and a good pair of cufflinks lived in the top drawer next to the watch they only wore on Sundays. This boxed Stratton set is exactly that era — solid, well‑made British accessories from a time when getting dressed felt like a small ritual.

Stratton started in the 1920s and became known for their quality men’s pieces — cufflinks, tie clips, all the little finishing touches. The brand is long gone now, but their sets have lasted, quietly carrying those memories with them.

Would make a lovely Father’s Day present for the right person — especially if your dad has a special event coming up or still loves putting on a suit now and then. A perfect little finishing touch, available in Unit 51 at The Loft Vintage & Antiques.

A little bit of history for you… we’ve been wanting to share this small discovery from Jones & Wells. These tiny flags are Kensitas cigarette silks, made in the early 1930s and originally slipped inside Kensitas cigarette packets as collectible premiums.

Kensitas was a Scottish cigarette brand from the 1920s–30s, known for its clever promotions and unusually high‑quality giveaways. Their silks were real woven fabric — bright, detailed, and far more beautiful than you’d expect from something found in a cigarette packet. The brand itself is long gone now, but these little silks have outlived it, which makes them feel like mini time capsules.

People collected them slowly, one packet at a time — kept in albums, tucked into books, pinned inside writing desks. Each one is a tiny snapshot of the world as it was then: National Flags, British Empire designs, and all the colours and politics of the 1930s woven into silk.

This small group includes both National and Empire pieces, each one nearly a century old and still holding its colour.

They can be found in Unit 51 at The Loft Vintage & Antiques for anyone who loves:

vintage ephemera
early textile printing
cigarette card history
small, tactile pieces of the past

A quiet little time capsule, woven in silk.

There’s something about 1970s French glassware that just knows how to make a moment feel special.
This set comes from J.G. Durand, the French glassworks behind the Luminarc brand - the same factory that filled so many European homes with bold, modern designs through the 60s and 70s.

Durand were masters of pressed glass, and they loved a statement pattern.
This houndstooth design was one of their most striking - crisp black and white wrapped around clean, simple forms, paired with those jewel‑bright colours. Proper mid‑century confidence.

The factory itself is part of French glassmaking history. Durand eventually became part of Arc International, and while Luminarc still exists today, these original 70s patterns are long out of production. That’s why complete sets like this decanter plus five coloured shot glasses feel so special when they turn up. They’re little survivors.

And with Father’s Day coming up, there’s something lovely about gifting a piece with a bit of story behind it - something that’s travelled, been used, been loved, and is ready for its next chapter.

A small slice of 1970s France, right here in Unit 51 at The Loft Vintage & Antiques

A touch of vintage charm today for your table.

There’s something quietly beautiful about hand‑painted ceramics — each brushstroke telling its own story.

This lovely Carlton Ware jug and bowl set, made in England, brings that timeless elegance to life with its teal interior and flowing green design.

Perfect for adding a little mid‑century grace to your home or display.

Pop by The Loft Vintage & Antiques in Rugeley to see them in person — they’re even prettier up close. 🌿

The dragon claims he’s in charge of the shelves…
but this tiny cast‑metal cat has been unimpressed since the moment he arrived.

She patrols the Woods Ware like she owns the lease, tail flicking at anything out of place.

He puffs himself up — all fire and drama — and she simply steps around him, already sorting it out.

Small, weighty, and absolutely running the show.
A tiny treasure with claws in all the decisions.
