🪵 Scaffold Board Cladding

A great example of scaffold board cladding used to create a warm and practical interior.

The natural timber boards have been fitted vertically across the walls, creating a simple backdrop that works beautifully alongside the oak bench, coat hooks and storage. The variation in grain and tone of the boards adds plenty of texture while giving the space a relaxed, country feel.

Sam – Joinery Technician

Sam has been with Cawarden for 2 years, working within the showroom and supporting customers looking for timber products.

He specialises in creating bespoke fireplace beams and mantels, crafted from reclaimed oak to suit individual projects.

Combining practical skill with an eye for detail, Sam helps bring custom timber features to life.

🏡 Shutt Heath Farm - HarrisonHomes

Take a look at these two impressive Staffordshire barns at Shutt Heath Farm, built using a range of materials supplied by Cawarden Reclaim.

Our reclaimed bricks, roof tiles, oak beams, and cobbles all played a part in bringing this project to life. From the structure itself to the finishing details, reclaimed materials have helped create two barns with a distinctive appearance while giving existing materials a new purpose.

A fantastic project, and we're proud to have supplied materials for its construction.

Sam – Yard Operative

Sam has recently joined Cawarden as a Yard Operative, bringing 15 years experience working in building yards.

A skilled forklift driver, he works mainly in the brick area, dressing, sorting, and preparing bricks to a high standard.

Sam plays an important role in keeping the yard organised and running smoothly, helping ensure customers receive quality materials efficiently.

Remembering Peter Waite.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Peter Waite, who died on 16th August 2026, aged 88.

Peter holds a very special place in the history of Cawarden Reclaim, having been our first employee. He joined us at the very beginning, working at Cawarden when it was still a working farm and remained with the company until his retirement in 2006.

During his many years with us, Peter worked both in the woodworking shop and in the brickyard, where his son, Sam, continues to work today.

Peter was a true gentleman, always willing to lend a hand and help anyone who needed it. He was also passionate about wildlife and birds of prey, something that brought him great enjoyment throughout his life.

Peter was a valued part of the Cawarden family for many years and will be fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

Peter's funeral will take place on Wednesday 9th September 2026 at 10:30am at Stafford Crematorium.

Our thoughts are with Sam and all of Peter's family and friends at this very sad time.

Simon – Brick Sorter & Forklift Driver

Simon recently joined the team as a brick sorter and forklift driver.

He plays a key role in processing incoming stock — cleaning, dressing, and sorting bricks, as well as inspecting them to ensure quality standards are met.

Alongside this, Simon operates a forklift to move, load, and organise materials across the yard, helping maintain a safe, tidy, and efficient working environment.
