Well after relentless months of searching, having my emails ignored, being flabbergasted by ridiculous prices, a bit of negotiating and perseverance, I have my perfect coffee table(s) and couldn't be happier.

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well and staying safe.

I've been a bit lax when it's come to keeping my page updated and not done anything for a while, so thought that as we're all stuck at home, it might be a good time to do a post.

As we've all been spending longer behind closed doors enjoying our homes, I wonder if this time has given you food for thought!!. Maybe you've been thinking it's time to give things a little spruce up around the house; I know I have, which I know I do anyway, but I've really thought long and hard about it and it's made me think just how bored I am with some of the current items/furniture I have at the moment. Because of this, I literally had a clear out. I got rid of lots of decorative accessories (sold them mostly local) because I really want a fresh start, so need a blank canvas really. I would love to get a new sofa, but need to try and sell my current one first, but seeing as this might be a long time coming, I think I will just brighten it up with a load of new cushions, out with all the grey metallic type ones and in coming will be nice fresh white and black ones (some new fabric on the way......Excited). I've even taken to making something that I've been longing to purchase for a while, but just so expensive. This was a display plinth, which I showcased over on my Instagram account and i'm very proud of it. I even purchased a gorgeous lamp (really splashed out this time), sadly, it didn't come with a shade, so had to source one and when it arrived.....nearly a week later, I only went and tried to correct a few creases in it and completely ruined it! It's still usable, but I will have to get a new one eventually (or might even make one). I've got my heart set on a gorgeous marble table(s), but as it's out of my price range, I've actually made some enquires in to seeing if someone could make it for me, so watch this space.

This is the perfect time to think about making some items for your home yourself, such as maybe making your first cushion (you'll be hooked before you know it) and upcycling a few things around the home; there's so many products out there to help you with this, as well as tonnes of tutorials on Youtube to help you achieve your end goal. Get creating!!

Hi everyone! I've been a bit absent for a while with Christmas etc, but thought it about time I updated my page, so sharing a little presentation/article on one of my current favourite things...….I hope you enjoy reading it and maybe you too will take some inspiration from it.

When does your Christmas tree go up? I'm usually a 2 week before Christmas kind of girl, but with all the lovely colour options and the fact that you can go crazy, i'm looking to put mine up at the earliest opportunity, when is too early! What colour are you going to go with this year?

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm trying to post something on a regular basis, so I've put together another board showcasing some of the chairs i'm lusting over at the moment. These would sit perfectly in pretty much any room in the house.

We all love to buy things to update our living spaces, but do you have things (accessories etc) that you've had for years such as a vase or ornament or maybe a rug or picture that you still love after years and still sits nicely amongst your other things? That said, here are a few things that I've added myself recently. I added a black and white print to the bedroom and the same in the living room (I removed all other art in order to create a focal point). A really cheap and effective way of buying and displaying art is to find things you like; in this case, a gorgeous black & white print of Bridget Bardot and this beautiful horse head. I went to my local printers and got them blown up to a size of my choice (A1) then you can either go to your local framers and get them to frame the print or you could have a go at making them yourself. The beauty about getting it done professionally is you get to choose from an array of frame sizes, colours and finishes and they will be able to advise you. It's also worth bearing in mind that if you want to make it look more expensive, add a mount board; again these come in an array of colours etc and don't cost much and can make a big difference. Depending on where the art is going to be displayed this will determine whether or not you want it to make a statement, so you can go really big with the frame and mount board and it can cost as little as around £70 to get yourself something that is unique and looks really expensive. The cotton stems in the vase are something I came across whilst perusing 'Instagram' (one of my all time favourite platforms for interior inspiration). These are also a cheaper and unusual alternative to fresh flowers and dried foilage etc. These can be purchased from various places, but I got these from my local hobby craft and can be displayed anywhere in the home.
