🎃🌻 It’s hump day, so you may as well start planning your weekend! 👻

We revisited Moel Famau Pumpkins in Cilcain on Sunday, and what a lovely day out! (Cilcain is also home to the rather lovely The White Horse Inn if you fancy making a proper day of it! 🍻)

We explored the wonderful sunflower maze earlier in the season and thought it was magical, but we have to say, the slightly spooky version, along with the added fun of the pumpkin field, made it even more special! 🎃👻

It’s brilliant for kids, with tonnes of games to play, miniature wheelbarrows to push around, and a maze to explore while hunting for all the items on the activity sheet. Plenty to keep little ones entertained!

Bethan runs the pumpkin and sunflower experiences with her lovely family, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to support a small, working farm. You can also sample some of her mum’s delicious cakes 🍰 (we tried the sponge cake, tiffin and bara brith which were all amazing) and take a look at Bethan’s new venture, Moel Famau Flowers, which was still in full bloom when we visited, although the frosts will soon be on their way! 🌸

Bethan also freelances for us at weddings, and this year she provided us with some extra flowers when we needed them. It’s always lovely to see local businesses supporting one another. 🤍

So, book your slot and get yourselves along! It was busy when we visited, and we saw plenty of people carting off huge wheelbarrows full of pumpkins! There were originally 22 varieties to choose from, but they’re going fast, so don’t leave it too late!

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who follows this page, whether you’ve been here for a while or have only just joined us. It really does mean a lot to have you here. 😊

There’s lots going on behind the scenes at the moment! I’m trying to give the website a bit of love, make better use of Facebook (which has been a little neglected!) and keep building our Instagram presence, sharing gardening tips, floristry inspiration and little glimpses of what goes on here at Lima Gardens Wales.

Every like, comment and share really does make a difference, and it’s lovely to know that more people are discovering the beauty of Lima Gardens Wales and just how special this place is to visit.

We’d love to welcome more of you here, whether that’s for a workshop, a garden tour, a bespoke event or simply a coffee morning and a wander around the garden.

And that’s a wrap on fresh flowers for this season! 🌸

With the weather turning wintry and the gritters out and about, it’s time to say goodbye to our fresh, homegrown flowers for another year. We’ve sadly had to remove them from our online shop until next season.

But there’s still plenty of flower magic happening here on the farm! ✨

🌾Our rafters are overflowing with dried flowers, and we have a lovely selection of dried flower creations and gifts available in our online shop. Beautiful, seasonal and long-lasting, they’re a little piece of the flower farm to enjoy all year round.

💍 We’ll still be creating flowers for weddings and selected special events, so do get in touch if you’re planning something as we can still source sustainable fresh flowers throughout the winter for special orders.

🎁 If you’re looking for something a little different this Christmas, our dried flower creations make beautiful gifts, and our workshop tickets are perfect for anyone who loves getting creative.

Thank you so much for supporting our little sustainable flower farm here in North Wales throughout the growing season. 💚 Although the fresh flowers are taking a well-earned winter rest, there’s still plenty of beauty to share!

I’m really pleased to be bringing one of our Christmas wreath workshops to the Royal Oak Hotel in Betws-y-Coed this year. 🎄🌿

The Royal Oak is such a beautiful setting for a festive afternoon, right in the heart of Betws-y-Coed and surrounded by the Conwy Valley. It feels like the perfect place to get creative and start feeling properly festive.

We’ll be making natural Christmas wreaths using twisted willow, sustainably sourced and foraged foliage, dried flowers, grasses, seed pods and seasonal textures. The dried flowers we’ll be using have been grown on my farm in Ruthin, and I’ll guide you step by step to create your own unique wreath.

Everything you need is provided, along with a mince pie and your choice of mulled w**e or a hot drink. 🥧☕️

Come along with friends or enjoy a creative afternoon to yourself, and leave with a handmade wreath ready for Christmas. 🎄✨
