Manali, August 2013: We’ll always remember this as our first proper little break that year!
I was still working full time in advertising, spending every spare hour freelancing and working on Safomasi, our recently launched side hustle. No days off until the August Independence Day weekend 🫠
We took the night bus from Delhi, arriving at dawn after a long, bumpy journey up the mountains.
Much later, this trip and others like it would inspire our Himalayan collection. Rainy walks through the woods to waterfalls, paddling in mountain streams, apple orchards, sunflowers and traditional Kullu homes dotted around the hillsides… so many memories along the way eventually found their way into our designs.
