Autumn is in the air - ‘Season of Mists and mellow fruitfulness’ and of course beautiful dahlias. This wonderful still life is by Angie Wood Art one of our resident artists who is also looking after the shop/gallery today. Angie is also inspired by her exploration of Cornwall, often through frequent dog walks within the county. We have the work of 30+ artists and makers from in and around Clay Country in our vibrant space - why not pop in for a 👀 peep?

Emma Bray Lowen.clay is the newest addition to our Collective here at 11. She will also be teaching in our upstairs studio Flookan on Sunday afternoons from 13th September so a double whammy for the Market House! Pop into our shop/gallery where we have a carefully curated display of her work to admire/buy or be inspired to have a go yourself! Just arrived - new stock of Nature's Beeswax Cornwall soap freshly made within 5 miles of the shop! What could be more local? The only air miles involved were made by bees🐝🐝😀We also stock Nature’s Beeswax Candles. Pop in and feel the buzz.

Artist and printmaker By Michele Willshaw is looking after the shop/gallery this afternoon followed by Jeremy this afternoon. Jeremy’s wife, Dana makes Cornish Tartan ties, dicky bows and aprons for the shop. She is a skilled dressmaker (including wedding dresses)and is able to make your dream outfit reality or produce the made to measure outfit you just can’t find in the shops. We have the work of 30+ Cornwall based creators in our vibrant space. Why not pop in for a peep? 👀

We are OPEN today in St Austell Market House as are several other shops together with our front of house café Jake's Bakes Cornwall. The shop/gallery is looking very vibrant and full of art, gifts and treats from around 30+ creatives from in and around Clay Country. Our lovely Julia Jory is in charge today so you’ll be sure of a warm welcome. Why not pop in for a peep 👀 and support local endeavours 😀

This particular witch, made by our Flo Mysterious Maytree who is running the shop today, is currently winging her way over to Mississippi USA with an American customer who visited the shop this week. The customer takes part in one of the Famous Mississippi Witch Runs where participants mount bicycles dressed as witches, in this case raising money for Animal Welfare projects - this year the theme is pink so particularly appropriate! Flo will also be bringing in some new creations to join her famous fairies, witches and mermaids being Clay Country Piskies and White River Fairies - we’re itching to see them! Flo will be open till 5 today so why not pop in and get first dibs?! Can’t get in today? We’re open tomorrow (Sunday) from 10.30 and Bank Holiday Monday from 10am. Our front of house cafe Jake's Bakes Cornwall will be open over the Bank Holiday weekend together with several other shops. See you soon.
