What it REALLY takes to fit herringbone like this 📌 Save this for your next project.

1️⃣ Uplift the old floor: every tile up, nothing hidden underneath
2️⃣ Strip and sand back to a clean subfloor
3️⃣ Level with Kelmore screed. Nobody sees this step, but it's why the floor lasts
4️⃣ Fit the herringbone, border and design strip, every border piece cut by hand

Herringbone shows every flaw in the floor underneath, so the prep matters as much as the fit.

✅ Uplifted the old tiles
✅ Stripped the floor back
✅ Levelled it with Kelmore screed
✅ Fitted J2 Timbers Naked Oak herringbone with a border and design strip
