This very fluffy cloud is Poppy. She is a very sweet girl, owned by a friend and it was a fun experience capturing her wayward curls ❤️

I can share this one now as it was gifted at Christmas.
This little girl is unfortunately memorial piece, in the family's favorite photo her eyes were darkened so I brightened those up with the help of some other photos and made sure to capture that little underbite that was part of her.

The scan of the finished pair of African wild dogs ❤️

A big thank you to as this was inspired by her reference photo. I loved the moment of play that had been captured and want to portray that playful side to their behaviour.

This was done on pastelboard and is massive (for me) 60cmx90cm. It took 42 hours in total.

I have been sharing updates of this one on Instagram but thought I would share this here as well as I am half way there! This is a very large piece, it features two african wild dogs playing. It is turning into a labour of love... 22 hours later and number 1 is done 🥰

There is a cute backstory with this one, and it has been on my to do list for ages 🥰

As some of you know, I work full time as a Vet. This little hoglet was brought in last year after being found collapsed at the side of the road. We sedated him for an exam and took some x rays but thankfully there were no major injuries. He needed some fluids, worming treatment and supportive care but he was subsequently re released 🎉

I captured a photo of him in a sweet pose as he was starting to wake up and just knew it had to go on the drawing list.

Hedgehogs are one of my favorite animals and this little guy is going up in my hallway ❤️

I plan to do more wildlife pieces this year. Finished this up in December but forgot to post it, really enjoyed the colours in this one. 🧡
