I could be lost in a bathroom design hole for hours, days even! All the complexities! It’s just got to feel right. I always say with design work that there is a feeling that is attached to it, it quite often can’t be described, any of my deeply creative followers will get where I’m coming from!!

This SouthSands beachside apartment has all the opulence of a boutique hotel, and yet it’s a functional family coastal holiday home, it doesn’t have to be seagulls and stripes, it’s about layering the right textures together to create a space that you can find total harmony in.

It may be raining today but that’s when I really enjoy hunkering down with a cup of tea and getting lost in my work. Days like these I can’t tell you where the time goes. It’s really felt like this over the past few months, is anyone else with me? Can we pause for a moment and go to the beach please (with the sunshine!).

Show me the light!! This is a good one!!

This was such a fun project to work on, my lovely client had some pesky north facing rooms looking onto the cliff, they were very dark and dull with wall paint that sucked the life out of the room. Not only was the room North facing, there was a lot of trees directly outside the windows, so we had a nice green hue being reflected into the rooms. 👀

This type of problem is quite common in Salcombe, being that the town is built on a big hill and a lot of the waterfront properties back onto the cliff face.

Beautiful reflective natural seagrass wallpaper completed by , getting this type of wallpaper seamless is no easy feat. It gave the perfect amount of reflectiveness without looking too boujee and the seagrass was a nod to the natural coastal surroundings.

It’s pretty unusual for me to show my face on here 🫣 but I thought it was about time you get to know a little more about the girl behind the name!

Here are a few things about me you probably didn’t know!

1. I studied Interior Design at the National Design Academy in Nottingham

2. I opened the Nkuku Lifestyle store near Totnes

3. I live just outside of Salcombe with my Fiancé, my beautiful five year old boy and our Cavapoo Ralphie 🐶

4. The iconic South Sands Ferry is owned and run by my family!

5. One of my favourite parts of my job is joinery design, I get a kick out of a perfectly fitted wardobe 😆

6. I absolutely love the colour pink and don’t use it nearly enough in my work!

7. This one shocks a lot of people, but not one of my mugs are matching! 😆

It’s been a busy few months over here and I’m just popping on to say Hi 👋🏻 I’m still here, beavering away on a wonderful project on the waterfront.
Salcombe is absolutely brimming with life which is so lovely to see, we just need a little more ☀️
