Sundays picking up old bits of style in old bits of style will never become boring. Rewind 45 years and a young lady was gifted this carved wood divider off the walls of a closing down Mexican restaurant which she worked in as a young lady. Stored for decades without seeing a place and now passed on to my personal collection with a tear in the eye.

Keep your Ducato, I’ll haul in an ironic estate. Like a shiny charizard Pokémon card, this mid century cocktail bar by makers Turnidge of London is one of the rarer ones you want. Victorian or mid century, when pieces start to give ‘installation’ energy they feel cooler, as if they were found in some obscure mid century design led pad when in reality they were found in a bed sit outside Scunthorpe or similar. Desirability and status debatable, until you see a Toothill Wentworth suite peaking in to the photo, cementing the ‘deliberacy’ and irony.

A post to satisfy the juxtaposition of cars and furniture I like. Crusty or not.
