The last time we ran this lovely workshop the attendees LOVED it! Everyone had no eperience of free motion......
"Huge thanks to the endlessly patient and talented Sue from for an inspiring and very informative free motion embroidery workshop today. I've been dying to get to grips with this versatile technique and this workshop has done just that! Step by step from first dodgy squiggles to a complete piece on a beautiful piece of painted fabric. Very excited to get going with some wet felted pieces and add sari silks and lashings of stitches!"

Parents who bought acrylic paint once and never opened it, this is your stone painting start.

You don't need fancy supplies or artistic talent. Just smooth stones, those paints gathering dust, and a quiet Thursday afternoon.

In the workshop you will:

Get smooth pebbles dried out
Start with simple designs - no brush skills needed
Layer colours
Try basic patterns: stripes, swirls, or mandalas
Seal them

The stones don't judge. There's no wrong way to paint them.

You might surprise yourself with what appears when you just start.

I run stone painting sessions where we take this slow, support each other, and create something beautiful together. No pressure, just gentle creativity.

Here's how to give your child a creative afternoon they'll actually remember:

1. Book them into one of our kids' workshops at Sandbach Craftworks
2. Let them choose their design – we guide them through sketching it out
3. Watch them print it using block printing , stencils and pens
5. See their face light up when they take home the tote bag THEY made

No artistic talent needed. No mess at home. Just 90 minutes where they create something they're genuinely proud of.

Our workshops are designed so every child – whether they're naturally crafty or never picked up a paintbrush – finishes with something beautiful. We keep the groups small and the instructions clear, so they feel supported every step of the way.

Parents, this half term your child makes at least 2 elasticated bead bracelets in 90 minutes.

Perfect for those days when you need something calm, creative, and completely screen-free.

They'll choose their own colours, learn a simple jewellery-making skill, and leave with something they've made themselves to keep or gift.

No artistic ability needed. Just a willingness to try something new and enjoy the process.

We provide everything – beads, elastic, tools, and clear step-by-step guidance in a supportive, welcoming space.

It's a chance for them to slow down, focus, and feel genuinely proud of what they've created.

Take us on your crafting journey.
