Local designers and makers getting together to offer ideal Christmas gifts at Benhall Club
See posts below for details of stallholders🎄
Please be aware that ALL stalls are booked, if you see any posts suggesting otherwise they are scammers! For those who have never been, it is a golden opportunity to meet a wide range of local artists, crafters and makers, all under one roof and offers the perfect

chance to purchase unique and locally made Christmas gifts at affordable prices. We are privileged to have so many talented people living in our small village, you'll be able to find practical items, decorative pieces and works of fine art - ranging from wood to ceramic, wax to silver, photography to paintings, and fabric to natural materials all reflecting their distinct personalities and passions. Giving this year's event even greater appeal will be the launch of renowned and well-respected local author Reggie Oliver's new book 'This Haunted Heaven'. All of the makers will be donating to celebrated villager Manette Baillie's charity fund, benefitting the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Benhall and Sternfield Ex-Servicemen's Club. Manette recently completed a sky dive to celebrate her 102nd birthday! Whether you are a regular visitor to this event, or whether you'll be coming for the first time, the Made in Benhall makers are looking forward to welcoming you on 1st December (10.30 - 2.30) at Benhall Club, where you will also be able to purchase seasonal refreshments from the bar.

A little late in the day, for which many apologies, but I've been elsewhere.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to support this year's Made in Benhall Christmas Market. It was the best yet and that's all down to the visitors from nearby and further afield who not only came, but spent too!

It was wonderful to meet so many new residents in Benhall and Sternfield who wholeheartedly supported the Market. They seemed to have been seriously impressed with the quality of the work being sold there. Welcome to our village and thank you.

"Thank you's" also go to Rachel and her team at Benhall Village Social Club for all their hard work including delicious sausage rolls, bacon baps and lots of other things to eat and drink.

Then there is "Team Made in Benhall" who pulled the whole thing together. Like any event, Made in Benhall Christmas Market takes a lot of work and commitment from a very small team.

We were setting up on Sunday morning in darkness, the stands being lit by tiny Christmas lights due to a fairly widespread power cut. There was some trepidation whether the event would go ahead at all, let alone anyone would visit, but luckily power was restored shortly before it was due to open. Whew! Some of our sellers, however, were still off-line until this morning which must have been pretty miserable.

So, thank you again for everyone involved, our makers/artists, the Club and all our wonderful visitors.

Nine local artists and crafts people are taking part in this year's Made in Benhall Christmas Market. Today we highlight Dawn Wedge...

Dawn of DHW Silver offers her designs which are classic with a contemporary twist and, because they are all handmade in her Benhall workshop, no two pieces are ever identical. She uses ethically sourced, recycled sterling silver and gold, and all larger pieces carry my hallmark from Birmingham Assay Office as legally required.

Each maker will be donating a percentage of their profits to the amazing charity, Emmaus-Suffolk.

Nine local artists and crafts people are taking part in this year's Made in Benhall Christmas Market. Today we highlight Shelley Nott whose work is thrown on the wheel and then fired to stoneware temperature of 1260 degrees.

Each maker will be donating a percentage of their profits to the amazing charity, -Suffolk.

Shelley Nott will be joining us this year with her range of beautiful greeting cards (including Christmas ones) and fine English bone china mugs all featuring her stunning still life photographs. Every one is a miniature work of art, perfect as presents (why not a selection of cards in a beautiful, hand tied box?) or for sending those round robins.

Ten local artists and crafts people are taking part in this year's Made in Benhall Christmas Market. Today we highlight Hannah Berridge Studio:

Hannah Berridge’s hand-painted ceramics come from her studio in Benhall and reflect the beautiful countryside and the seaside towns that surround her. The images include beach huts and fishing boats, with wild flowers from the fields and verges in the countryside. Painted with coloured glazes before final firing in her kiln, each design and each individual piece is unique.
